Wing is very small. Too small for having serious effect. So rather a M Performance part addon than the wing of a CSL or GTS model.
Not always, only since 1998 (started with the E39 M5)...

AMEN!

As soon as they hear this thing farting and gurgling and blowing fire from those pipes all these fan boys are gonna cream their panties and posting their pics/videos of their cars.

I take back my comment that I expected the CSL to have wider skirts... I still think the wing looks too small.

Look like a full height front fender vent as well.

What are the odds that you drive past this thing...must be near zero.

Looks like there is a sizable indentation in the hood - in the middle close to the windshield.

Ah yeah forgot about the Z3M in 1997 good shout the first M car with quads, I discount the 8 series as not officially designated M cars.

Not sure what the E367/8 are but I think that's a typo.

E36/7 is the Z3 roadster and E36/8 is the Z3 coupe. It's the only cars that I'm aware of that use triple digit chasis codes.

It's not only now, the designs from the Bangle period were also seriously contested! The E65 was considered then the all time low, it didn't reflect any of the BMW virtues.

Far too soon for CSL type stuff that is 2-3 years away perhaps at least.

For me, refreshing to see a different approach and it would certainly be more visible that you'd gone down the M Perforamance route now.
Ahem, yup.
