Not sure how I feel about it... as much as I like tradition I'm glad to see BMW taking 'risks'. This is certainly an exhaust setup they've never done before so hey... go crazy BMW and show us something original. It didn't work with the grills but maybe it will work with the exhaust...?

At least they're continuing to make high-performance variants!

Now they are messing with exhausts! Do the Chinese like these too?

I figured it out. BMW purchased a large quantity of shares in IND. This way they can profit from IND fixing BMW's design mistakes.

Looks to me that they are making statements that they no longer want to be a brand that is stuck in the past including not being a brand for people stuck in the past. They want to be free to move forward and cater to those who are ready to follow.

Lexus - 298,114
BMW - 324,826
Just looked these up as well and over 200,000 of those are Lexus SUV's, another reason not to copy the LFA and other Lexus car design.

I am really digging the fact that BMW is breaking some of their styling cues. Love that it's still 4 tailpipes but in a different arrangement. Love the new front grille. I think Porsches and most of the non-exotic Mercedes are boring for their super slow evolution of styling.

Am I the only one who likes it? Also, there is nothing there to remind me of an LFA. The LFA exhaust is in a triangle. Some of you reach so much.

There is an M2, get that if you want a small coupe.
I bought mine because of the same reason

And furthermore Coupes are not selling and being canceled by many brands accordingly

The M3 and M4 looks like a mashup of Infiniti's 2017 design language and the latest Lexus IS.

The 8/M8 is straight up Mustang.

The hell is going on?

It's like all the engineers thought, "How can we really f'ck with such a legendary name like the M3(4) and piss off our base?"

Haha, when you think they already went too far, they put one on top of it...

At least the car now also has some awkward design element on the back and not only on the front

So the conlusion now is....if this is real and a lot guys said - don't worry about the front, most will see the car only from the back - if you go for this trim (CS /CSL or whatever it is) you have to move from others sideways to not make them not follow you because of how ugly it is :

Sorry BMW, but I thought you could do better, what happened?

Hold my beer....
Who said they'll get used to the grille?

Also, I see they want to make the transition to a Lexus instead of looking like a BMW as seamless as possible this generation.

This is brilliant, BMW is ahead of the curve, the new M3 and M4 are following the Instagram trend for lip fillers with their pronounced grill mouthpiece

I'm no soothsayer but my money is the next big social media 'must have' will be a big puckered anus
