Nice lap. He was fighting a lot of understeer. There is prob 5-10 seconds there with more front end grip.

I'd like to know the front camber set up used. Need more. Or a square tire set up.

Is it me or this driver was a little too involved with other things than concentrating on the circuit- like fixing the seat belt, visor etc.?

BMWs have all had fake engine sound since about 2014, I think the only exception after that was the F82 M4 GTS which was loud enough on its own without the speakers helping.

I used to hate the fake sound on principle but my F80 was much more enjoyable with it on vs. off.

I expected bmw would break 7:10 with this car but you cant fight physics.

Honestly - this makes me wonder if they could indeed have got below 7:10, but just chose not to.

He's running high level on the DTC, can't see if its +6 or +8, but either way it explains why the car doesn't step out.

That understeer though .... don't know if that high amount of DTC is pushing the front, not allowing the car to rotate. Doesn't seem normal to me.
