Wow!! Is that 'really' overcast conditions? If so, I may actually be tempted. I just thought it would look more maroon, browny wine coloured in overcast conditions.

Nice, thanks Vic. Ive got a feeling that Tanzanite will mostly likely pop a little more over here in the UK

if pop is what you need and you dont have much sun, you might want to expand your colour choices.

oh on the spot ..

Clearly a lighter blue or any color with not so much darker hues in it.

Alpine White to me is great in the overcast skies. I like the Toronto Red but Imola if you can find it. Santorini Blue or Atlantis Blue or Voodoo too.

Thanks for the opinion on colours Vic. After checking out some photos of the G80 in Atlantis Blue, I’m really tempted to go Individual. That colour really does pops! Almost like a metallic Laguna Seca!!

What interior would you do with Atlantis though? Can’t go Fiona as too superman, don’t want black as I’ve had that on every previous car, white is out the question as I have two young kids….hmmmm….decisions, decisions!

Well maybe a fjord blue black blend ... honestly red will be fine, its rare that you drive with your doors open LOL.

Kaylami (spelling?) could be interesting too.

For what it's worth I'm an Aston owner (2015 V8 Vantage with a 6 speed manual.) Mine has about 43k miles and has been dead reliable. That being said maintenance gets to be expensive. I pay roughly $1500/year in maintenance, and it's recommended to do the yearly maintenance sooner if you drive more than 10k. So you may want to consider running costs.

Aston's are definitely special cars, and you absolutely cannot beat the sense of occasion driving this car. Although I'm not sure if I would want to use mine for daily driving (even though it is comfortable enough to daily.)

Thank for your input and yes they are indeed very special cars, and I still do like them but the dated tech is starting to put me off a little. And yep the maintenance on them is quite scary too.

A quick question Vic. What is your opinion on the new forthcoming M2? I’ve heard that dealerships are soo starting to accept deposits on them. It’s something I’ve never considered but a friend of mine brought it into the equation. It proportions seem similar to a 992 and the weight to power ratio of it could make it a more fun and engaging drive in comparison to an M3. Obviously it won’t be as practical or spacious, but im still thinking that I could fit two children into the back until their mid teens at least….much more practical than a 992?

Sorry I dont have a perspective on the M2, its never been in my wheelhouse.

You really are not ready to pull the trigger on anything are you. Just based on what you have asked here and prior... I suggest you drive cars first and review the sizes and shapes as all you will get here are opinions for the most part.

This is going to be my last ICE car so I would like it to be right for me and the family, which is why I am taking my time before jumping in. Having previously owned a E46 M3, a current Mercedes C43 and also a current M340i, I now want something on a level above those cars that can fit my family in but also has a great fun factor to it for the weekends. At the moment I’m tied between putting in an order for the G80 M3 or waiting out for the release of the forthcoming M2 which sounds like an amazing engaging car to drive, especially in manual!

My guess is that if you wait for the M2- then something else will be on the horizon and a possible vicious cycle will start.

If you want an amazing manual, the G80 is a great ticket and the cost is favorable compared to the performance.
