G8x in tight garage?

Quite concerned about this now but I have an incoming g80 and have to park it in a tight single-car garage where my model 3 perf is quite squished in, and I know all garages are different and have different dimensions but was wondering to see any trick, tips, or solutions you all may have if you park your beast in a rather tight space daily. I have a buddy coming over soon and we're going to test fit and move around a few things and see what makes due

would love to see that you guys have done

hanging a string down from the ceiling that just touches the hood or trunk helps with side-to-side

Hug the passenger side till the mirror is about to touch (maybe install a foam noodle as a bump stop or something).

Hit the button to fold the mirrors in.

Scootch over a bit more and straighten out.

Keep going until the parking sensor sounds a solid tone (tells you you're within 1 foot of the bumper)

Gauge an extra inch or three by picking a visual point on the wall next to your mirror.

Done.

Get one of these parking mats to make entrance and exit less stressfull day-to-day:

RaxGo Car Parking Mat, Garage Wheel Stopper Parking Aid

If you are desperate, you can always leave your rear seats down and get out of the car through the trunk!

You could start by searching 🙂 Lots of good info in this thread, and I'm sure others have had to tackle the same problem.

Always back in (ABI), use camera(s) plus your own judgement. Helps to have a marker or preferably stops/pads on the floor so you can feel rear tire placement. Install padding on any areas where there could be contact when opening the driver door to get out.

If you have just enough space to keep ur mirrors unfolded when parking, then putting convex mirrors on ur side mirrors really help. While its not the most aesthetically pleasing option, it works great for ur blindspot and tight situations like urs. If you have Parking Assistance Package, you can use the front camera to see how far to park in and the convex for the sides. Good luck

I put a strip reflective tape in the garage corner on the passenger side to help get her lined up. Not really needed with the parking assist auto-stop.

Back in and just use the mirrors. I park in a skinny garage space every day and it just takes practice.

Also if you're against a wall get a couple of these so you don't have to worry about slamming the doors against the wall. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07NLQSBPT

First time pull the car 1/4 in then lay painters tape on the parking lines. I line the car up on that then flip to reverse camera to make sure the rear is in. Another blue tape is barely visible once I’m in.
