It's $10,000+ for the Pure Metal Silver which is BMW's most expensive.
I had to google this...looks like silver lol. Why on earth would anyone pay $10k for that??
No clue! Never seen it in person before but from photos and videos it doesn't look that different than any other silver out there.

Did this come from a sales person? It sounds like the individual didn't actually know and was just making something up off the top of their head.

2 months ain't no thang.... you can and probably should start over... don't be a victim to sunk cost fallacy. Don't continue watching that shitty movie just cause you've already invested a half hour into it. Walk out of the theater.

Reach out to one of the brokers on the site, they'll find you an allocation.

I don’t see your location on the mobile Bimmerpost app but in the USA that’s not an accurate price. Either the CA/dealership is trying to screw you or he/she is dangerously misinformed.

Either way, if you’d like to retain this dealership’s services then ask to speak to the GSM to clear this up since you’ve read conflicting numbers online and through enthusiast forums. The sticker price of individual paint is $4,XXX and you’re interested in paying that, nothing more. If the GSM can’t provide concrete information that corroborates the numbers we’re all giving you then I refer back to my original point - either they’re trying to rip you off or they’re extremely misinformed. Regardless, they’re not worth your time and headache most likely.

Good luck!

It's not how they paint their cars, blowing out the lines. Not sure exactly how it works for the individual paints, but for the regular ones they just pick up different paint heads with the colors in them. Its like the paint arms go pick up 10 different buckets of the color of paint to paint the car at once and then swap out different heads for the next car. Not sure what the official name for the paint head/bucket things is. They don't batch paint colors, so they don't paint a bunch of white cars, then a bunch of blue, etc. The dealer can get an exact price from their BMW rep and that price will not be more than $5000. Ask them to get that number for you and see what happens.

It can be, if it's a color that they've never done before, but there are so many it's unlikely.

I know it is not the same individual color as OP, but I just changed my TBII to Individual SMB (B51) and it was just an additional $2,500 (TBII $1900) for a total of aprox.5k.

Good luck.

This is just a beginning.

As you progress, you are going to hear how much of a favor they are doing you by selling the vehicle.

It's over. Utterly hopeless. There is only despair. I guess I put down a $2,500 deposit for nothing. I guess I'll just look at the bright side that the M3 allocation will never show up and I can save money instead. OH well. I guess BMW doesn't need money.

You’re in Maryland.

I have a CA that works in BMW of Turnersville that owns a G80 himself and does not do above MSRP. He can most definitely work with you on PTS.

I’ll pm you his info shortly. Don’t be a defeatist!

As others have mentioned, FDG is no longer available but individual colors should only be around $4500-5500K. Last August I was looking to get an allocation with Frozen Dark Grey and was quoted $5500. My dealer's first G80 M3 allocation just happened to be the 50 Jahre Edition so that is the version I bought at MSRP (no markup).

I paid $2,500 to get excited about consuming a car. I guess it was worth it. I had a lot of fun watching YouTube videos and configuring my car a million times on the BMW website 😂

I mean I am sure the dealership will deliver on the allocation eventually... right? I think some have waited as long as six months.

Some waited longer, my original order sat in a parking lot in Germany, 99% complete, of 4 months then waited at port for 2 more before finding a ship, but the market is changing, and if you look, you can find an allocation sooner.

I have only been waiting two months. The 8-15k quoted price isn't a deal-breaker for me. I think he is just misinformed or crazy. I will probably end up ordering IOMG anyway, but I did have some interest in dark frozen grey so I was weighing my options. I'm not in a rush, so I don't mind waiting as long as it's similar to what others have experienced. It'll be like Christmas day when it arrives!

FDG is not available anyway, so if that was your only choice, it's a moot point. Frozen Pure gray is available, it's a frozen version of Skyscraper so it's lighter, but nice.
