My production date is 11/21 too and my car is still running 07/2021.xx.

I had told my SA that I had been having CarPlay connection issues for a long time and nothing I did would really fix it. And when I brought it in for a different service issue I brought it up and he told me he'd look into it. When I went back to pick it up, they had done the update.

How do you get this info in iD7?

Off the top of my head it's through Settings > General Settings > scroll to the bottom and it's under Remote Software Upgrade.

I just updated mine to 7/22. I did notice the exhaust to be a bit louder with the burbling on throttle lift.

They roll out the updates by batches so not everyone will be getting them at the same time. I think this is to prevent server overload and also to prevent BMW to repairing every car if there is a software issue. They can stop the rollout if there is an issue.

I got the update notification on my BMW app

I don't get why this happens, there are at least 2 updates since 07/2021, possibly 3 (03/2022, 07/2022 and some dealers installed a 11/2022).

There was an 11/2021 as well, that's what I was running before my latest update.

Do you need to disable carplay for the app to update the car? The app told me there was an update. I said go for it. Next thing I know its telling me to connect my car. Its connected to car play? And it asked me to join the cars wifi? Is that right? Good lord, just update! Why am I having a hard time getting the deck to see its connected?

I never disconnected from CarPlay but the phone did disconnect several times from the car during the process. When I unlocked phone and opened up app it would reconnect and continue the transfer.
