Update 22-07

Did anyone else who got the update notice any change in the sound or is it placebo? It sounded to me like now there is a deep muted burble if you lift off during heavy acceleration, but cannot tell if it is exhaust, ASD, or me imagining things.

I've noticed this as well. But, I also can't tell if it's just me hearing things or if something has actually changed.

For me, my entire gauge cluster screen was defective so when the dealership swapped it they reprogrammed the car and that included the newest version of iD7. I'm on version 11/2022.xx. I'll get the specifics later today and update this post.

Interesting, first time I've heard about a 11/2022 version. I thought 07/2022 is the latest.

My car (id7) is still on 03/2022 and cannot find any updates for some reason.

I just got the notification to update to 07/2022 - unfortunately my ECU has the Femto unlock so I won't be able to update, there was something in the release notes about Turbocharger control programming - not sure what exactly they have changed

Production date was 11-2021 (don't know exactly, I didn't order this one - maybe Week 44?), and iD7 (G82).

Got my 10K oil change. I don't see any notation for software updates. However; because of this thread I think I hear a deeper burble/rumble on deceleration smh lol!

Were they trying to address an issue that caused them to update iDrive? If so, what was the issue?

My production date is 11/21 too and my car is still running 07/2021.xx.

Car's in for 1yr service. Told them to get BMW to cover it or I'm paying for it myself. Tired of sitting stuck on 07/2021. Which is basically a year and a half old at this point, on a car that was delivered on exactly one day short of a year back (Sept build). It's $325 if I'm paying. Let's see how it turns out.

3/2022 was the update that added back Apple CarPlay and support for 2 devices connected over Bluetooth.

My car (g82) was delivered with this version and they delayed the delivery by a few days because at the time BMW said you can't deliver unless the update is applied at the dealership (to restore the missing functionality). It was missing because they switched chip providers and had to rewrite some parts of the software.

I'm beginning to wonder if this version 03/2022 has OTA support (I know they broken it in the past on other models/versions of the software and the fix was a manual update at the dealer).

Whatever this version is it sucks. My app won't update and the idrive resets every few weeks where you have to setup your profile all over again. Maybe BMW should poach more Koreans because this shit actually works on their cars.
