My door brake makes my door sound like a late 90's f150 with a couple hundred rolls of the odometer. Other than that the sunroof rattles sometimes with the sunshade open.

My '13 328 had actual shoddy construction rattles that helped me learn how to tear down an F30 interior after the dealership repeatedly failed to resolve it.
So far I've had no issues through 2600 miles. My F30 rattled and squeaked like crazy.
I have an M2 as well and there will always be some rattles. I've fixed some as well, but tje simple fix is driving in Sport+ at high RPM so you don't hear anything

I have the same rattle and more! One coming from the dash, one coming from the front passenger side and one coming from the rear left side of the parcel shelf.

My M2C with 52000KM had zero rattles! I get really annoyed when I hear these but I am going in for the run in service and have the car booked to get all these checked out. Let see how it goes! This car is a rattle box!

I had a similar rattle from drivers cockpit on my G80 M3 base. I also had a loose panel in the drivers glove box. I took it in to dealer and the panel clips had come loose and was quickly fixed (5 minutes). The rattle is gone now too, but that turned out to be the airbag clips under the horn were loose and were properly seated. Weird issues but cabin is quiet now with stereo muted and everything seems tight. Stuff comes loose during break in and over time. Dealer experience was outstanding as expected.

I've got a rattle that sounds like it's coming from behind the instrument panel. It seems to be getting better on its own (but not entirely gone).

There was one from the little sunglasses pocket door beneath the light switch, but I think it has settled down after a few good slams.

I have a Loud pop coming from front left of car when turning left. Sounds like a ball joint or Stab link loose. 700miles. Probably not that, but sounds like that. Lots of other rattles in the card too. M3 base. Will take it to dealer soon

I noticed the same noise on my center dash, my passenger couldn't hear it though

I was worried because I noticed one day that condensation was building in that area while I was on an hour drive with my windows down…I thought maybe it was water damage that caused this buzzing

I haven't noticed it again and hopefully I don't but part of the active sound is pumped in through that speaker so maybe while you're driving with the music off and notice that buzzing it's a damaged speaker trying to produce a low frequency (the engine noise)

I'm a paranoid freak by the way

The deep door pockets are going to be trouble I can already tell. Chasing down a rattle a few weeks ago turned out to be a plastic bottle cap that was so far back in there I never would have found it if the vacuum didn't.

They really did fix the F80 rattles as the life cycle of the product continued, hopefully it will be the same for the G80. My F80 CS has zero rattling issues but my 2016 F80 was horrible.

A lot of leather seats squeak under hard lateral force but the bucket seats do not on my G80.

I get an annoying creaking sound on uneven roads or on highway from the left side of the digital cockpit.
Usually when it’s warmer than 24C outside.
I’ll try to ask the shop to look into it during the 2000 kms service.

Both my former X3 m40i and current x3m are rattle free.
The M2 was also pretty good as far as I can tell but the with the MPE it was hard to tell 😁

haven't noticed it but haven't driven passed 100mph yet. I did notice some bizzare sound once and it was coming from the small storage compartment under the light buttons. it wasn't closed properly.... one thing I noticed is that this car is a lot more quieter than my F80 so it's easier to hear vibrations etc. but I can have conversation without shouting at 100MPH...seems to have a lot more insulation around the windows.

I have a whistle from when my sunroof is open. It's not from the sunroof itself (doesn't matter if it is open all the way or just cracked). Not technically a rattle but is anyone else having this issue?

It really scares me hearing about these stories. I mean all I ever hear about BMW's interior is how good the quality is. All these squeaks and sounds doesn't seem to be screaming quality to me.

I personally can't stand rattles, and music is not the answer. It's especially annoying if you're on long road trip. It happened on my 2012 Charger SRT 392 charger. The only car I bought brand new. Turned out it was the freaking sunglasses holder. I put a double sided tape on the back side and pushed it on the windshield and the problem was solved.

I hope I get lucky and it's a quiet cabin.

I would rather have a little rattle here and there than have the service tech spiritedly rack up miles on my car only to say "we could not replicate the sound."

I have my car at the dealer for the run in service.
They were able to confirm the creaking in the left side of the instrument cluster.
Took it apart and reassembled while adding some anti creaking foam or padding and they are saying the creaking is gone.
Will pick up later and verify.

Update: so far no more squeaks or creaks

Any feel like the door in general is not as solid as it was with the F80? When I close it it’s not the same solid oomph that the F80 had instead sounds kinda flimsy?

I feel that this is a long-standing trend. Have you closed the door of an E46 recently? Even our X7 or a modern 7 series, which are supposed to be several steps up, doesn't feel nearly as solid.

I have a rattle from driver side speaker. When I put slight pressure on it it goes away, so I may tuck in some thin soft double sided tape around it.

Like many, I'm hearing rattles in the instrument cluster / driver side dash. Not sure if it's behind the airbag cover like someone has mentioned but this one only rattles on rough roads.

Less than a week and have noticed a rattle from the sunglasses holder. My F90 at 50K miles had zero rattles. I guess BMW doesn't think the M3 should be rattle free.
