Since this thread is already semi-hijacked already... My understanding is that resonators are supposed to improve (rather than muffle/quiet) the exhaust melodies. So I'm curious why some people have decided to remove them (and reported positive results, from what I gather)?

Resonators dampen the sound, specifically the glass packed ones to eliminate sounds such as drone or rasp. Some resonators keep a straight through design (better flow) but less sound dampening, while others might re-direct the flow or act almost as a muffler. In any case, the reason most remove it is for performance gain, but others for the louder exhaust note.

Anyone have a similar pic of a standard 3 series or m-lite underbody for comparison? It would be interesting to see a side by side.

Garage List
I'm here trying to get a look at the oil cooler. Apparently it's very exposed. I have a 23 G80 M3CxD in a garage across the street in DT Chicago that I'm not inclined to go outside and check atm lol.

At around 7 minutes they will take a look under the G80 and G20 340i.
It's a big difference. It should shut every M light owners mouth of saying they are almost the same car.
