Congratulations! Will the dealer get you a set of Cup 2R’s since that’s how you ordered it when it becomes available? In a way that would be a great deal for you. You get a second set of tires.

BMW should be giving people a tire voucher imo. But Cup2Rs and PS4s are the same price on Tire Rack, so that won't happen.

Hey, on the bright side, you can now put regular Cup2s or PZero Corsas on it after you burn through those PS4s in about 3000 miles lol.

3000 miles is abysmal for tyres which, in Australia, cost $1200 each for Street use

How far would they go in the tank; 5 laps?

I spun the rears up with full traction on at 50mph on the highway! They don't have a prayer of lasting very long. They just can't handle the force of the engine (especially on a chilly day), the car is meant for sunny days and cup2s. PS4s are honestly just useful for breaking this thing in before the summer.

I agree, PS4S is really not a good tire for this car. It just needs more grip and stiffness, the chassis is tuned for this.

I just pulled the trigger on a set, TireRack has a decent price. I took a flyer and went 295 in the rear - we'll see how that works out.

Currenlty have adjustable carbon seats and looking to switch out to the full buckets. If anyone is looking to swap shoot me a message.

Aslo, has anyone priced out a pair of full huckets from bmw? Last i checked a few months back it looked to be about 4-5k per seat.

I thought full buckets were standard in the US.
Did you choose the adjustable ones by mistake as an option?
If you look at the bmw.com online CSL brochure, all US bounds CSLs come with full buckets as standard.

There was a lot of ordering errors because of this, a lot of dealers were thinking you had to click the option to get the full 1 piece buckets.

Under the knife
Cup 2s next, KW HAS and spacers.
Was going with a full Akrapovic but I like the sound of the stock exhaust.
Will send more pics when it’s finished.
