Trunk cargo net only on the left side?

I drive 2023 M3 Competition (US model) and found something weird today. If you open the trunk, there are two cubby holes on the left and right side.
The left side hole came with the cargo net, but on the right side, the cargo net is entirely missing. See the attached pics.

If you see the following video, it appears that 2021 M3 Manual Shift model comes with cargo nets for both sides.

I'm curious if I need to ask the dealership about this. I wonder if other folks have the same configuration as mine.

I have the next on the right side too. 2022 M4 xDrive.

Parts shortage or cost cutting maybe. Who knows.

That little cubby is where I've stuffed my dashcam battery. It's powered by the 12V outlet right above that space. Though I can't seem to quite see that either in your photo. Is it there?

I noticed this too. Seems like a change for the '23 M3 models. They removed the net on the right side.

I only have the net on the driver side.
I found it odd that there were no hooks on the left and right side to hook up a full length cargo net.

I don't think 12V outlet is in the trunk in my car. Checked the manual, but the 12V outlet is in the front center console between two cup holders.

It appears that they removed the net on the right side starting from 2023 M3 models. But 2023 M4 still has them on both sides since M4 hasn't received the new iPad style screen yet perhaps?

Another reason the M4 > M3 😉

They removed that too??

They keep doing this. In my 435i, I had even more than what I have in the M4, there was also a 12V port facing downward in the passenger footwell that I powered the dash and in that car with.

It’s be good if someone with a 2021 M3 chimed in on the trunk 12V. Trying to understand if it’s a M3 vs M4 thing or a pure model year cut off difference.

If you check the YouTube video of my original posting, it appears that there's something on top (black plastic piece) on the right side cubby. I presume that might be the 12V port? See the following screenshot. Maybe you can also find the owners' manual online for those models to verify that.
