After seeing all of the status updates here, I texted my salesman and he provided the production number. Once added to my BMW garage, it just shows order received with no other information but at least it’s in the system!
The dealer says he thinks it was scheduled for production late next month but I do not see how that would be possible. For reference, I am Brooklyn gray |

Are your build weeks showing up on the My BMW garage or via the dealer informing?

This is correct. I believe some allocations either missed the deadline to be changed and/or were locked when given to the dealer.

There has been very little logic and reason to the the CS allocation process since the beginning, why would you expect there to be any now?

Germany, dealer called two weeks ago, telling me that he is trying to get an earlier allocation because something went wrong. He didn't want to tell me, he told me he is going to fix it. Haven't heard from him since. I received my order confirmation and order number on January 31st.
Well...I was inpatient, called in a favor and found out that I have a November(!) production date with a 111 status (basically means that it is planned for production). I was so angry because this means that the car will reach me around December. In the middle of the winter here in Bavaria. Now I have to wait to see if the dealer can do something about it...still no word from him, this lack of communication is really annoying. I have a car assigned 100% but getting it in December is really unacceptable, I am thinking about canceling and going with my old idea for a GT3 Touring instead (my local dealer offered me a production slot in July). |

While I personally can’t wait for the CS and the 4 door setup makes it attractive for anyone with a family, it’s not a GT3. |

The GT3 Touring is not usable with three adult passengers (my two kids are still living with me and I need a car with full four seats, my Trackhawk is going away next year...) and the facelift is due in 2024, so...
Cost would have been around 60k EUR more than for the M3 CS. I always loved Porsche (had over 13 cars) but I still have a Huracan Performante and this car is not something I would switch with ANY GT3, with the exception of the new 992 GT3 RS...maybe. In the exhaust sound department, there is no real match for the Performante, especially here in Germany where any exhaust mod can cause big trouble. We have entire police task forces here hunting for loud exhausts only. Never had any issues with the Performante (which is brutally loud) because it is street legal here. I love Porsche but unfortunately they do not offer something like the M3 CS. Also, on the Autobahn, the M3 CS should destroy the GT3 Touring (which is already slightly slower than the ordinary M3 Comp xDrive). Race track? Not interesting, this is what I have the Performante for. |
