From what I was told I don’t think they will have a second allocation wave but who knows.

Apparently some dealers may get theirs sooner and others will get theirs later thus the 1 year run till December. But again this is just hearsay so who knows!

Damn $50k is too much for M3 CS, I wouldn’t pay more than $10k for it, I guess I’m keeping my f80 CS.

Yeah I've had dealers here in Maryland tell me they will hold an auction for the CS inside their showroom to see who pays more. Crazy.

My German sales guy told me last week that he has received a written notice from M GmbH that they will produce the same number of cars they produced of the CSL, meaning 1000. My sales guy expected more cars as well but now not anymore.

We are in a different time now.

With enough options it’s $100,000 for a standard 6MT M3. With special options you could wait 6 months or more in some circumstances.

That might have been the trade-off for sticking to a single dealership, especially a low volume one.

if you went with Signal Green or Frozen Solid White, they are all in 102

I also got my production order # today. I have added it to My BMW Garage and can follow it there now. Currently set as a September build, but I think that is just a placeholder. Dealer is not yet able to put my name on it in their system. Status is 102.

A buddy of mine received his production number today in status 111, and color being frozen white. So it doesn’t seem like they are holding back the individual colored cars. Just my two pennies.

Nice, yeah i'm week 27, so July. Seems like the large variance in weeks means this is probably it for allocations. Strange if its the case.

They're not holding back with anything, individual colors will be scheduled for painting at the factory at certain intervals, I wouldn't worry too much about it. Only problem is if you spec a normal color and you change your mind and switch to a special color. This means a delay of around 8 weeks or so...here in Germany. In the US, I guess the dealers already pre-specced the cars.
