Carbon Black is such a fantastic color. Probably my 2nd favorite after Tanzanite.

That being said...the past examples I've seen of Carbon Black look darker than this one. This one looks VERY close to Tanzanite.

I wonder if it's changed?

As someone who owns a CB car, I cannot understand for the life of me, why anyone would ever pay extra for such a color lol.

I hope you got a deal man.

Also ceramic coat the thing immediately, CB looks horrible when it's outside for more than 20 seconds.

Beautiful car and awesome spec. These options are how BMW should have offered the 50J in the US! I'm excited for you though!

Now that I was able to see it I can only share that I am VERY pleased how it looks.

This build has interior full leather Merino black, carbon bucket seats, exterior carbon pack, track M race pack, 826m wheels in golden bronze Matte, lazer lights, carbon ceramic brakes, few more extras.

Wasn’t able to drive the car yet since before delivery it will be done a full ppf in matte + ceramic coating and install few M performance parts (see pics).

Car is still in transport mode (looks very high from the floor) and the dealer had already started the preparation for apply the ppf, so some of the emblems had already been removed.

Sorry for not so great photos but I will had more a soon as all the stuff is applied and the car is finally deliver to me (cannot wait).

Really excited to start driving it.

Would love your comments and does anyone have feedback on the Pirelli PZero Corsa (PZC4)?

EDIT: for those interested I’m from Portugal and the dealer that sold me the car and is installing the parts as well doing the PPF + ceramic coating is the BMW from Santarem (Aníbal Carvalhos e Figos). Having to deal with several dealers and brands over the years, there isn’t anyone else I could recommend. Their customer service and attention to details, really truly amazing.
Definitely going to need that PPF and Ceramic.. tholat color will forever look amazing with them installed... I see you are going with STEK, how did you come to decide to use that brand?

I just dropped my M8 off this morning at my local shop and they will be doing STEK full front, plus some other bits, then Feynlabs Heal Plus everywhere else.

I believe it’s only for the European market? I might be wrong though.

CB remains my all-time favorite for non-M BMWs. Definitely very classy combo you‘ve got there!!
I‘d chosen Macao Blue for the M4.

My BMW dealership was using this brand and after some research online seemed a good option. I decided to go with Matte look but now that I saw the car and loved the color let’s see if I don’t regreat it. I will update the post with more photos during the installation process.

I have Skyscraper Grey on my M8 I was also going back and forth on Matt PPF or Gloss.. once I decided to only PPF the front matt was no longer a option.

My X5M was Carbon Black.. I had it for about 4 years. With the PPF and Ceramic the paint looked brand new, any scratches I just put the car in the sun or poured hot water and they would vanish. I wased the car the morning before going to BMW to get the M8 and was still impressed by the color and condition of the paint.. I was very happy with Feynlabs Ceramic.

Sure will do PPF and ceramic coating.

For this 50 Jahre edition was one the 5 available colours ( Carbon Black, Macao Blue, Brands Hatch Grey, Imola Red and San Marino Blue) and with the wheels there was two available colours (Orbit Grey Matt and Gold Bronze matt)

I'm wondering what Ceramic you have used in the past, the car looked stunning in all lights. You couldn't tell the PPF or Ceramic was on the car. The paint correction did wonders to the factory paint job, and the ceramic really made it shine and felt like it gave the color more depth.

Congrats OP. Great looking car. As for the Pirelli Corsa, you're one of the few people that have them. The Pirellis you see on the G8Xs are Pirelli PZ4 Star. Vastly different tire. It's nice to see you were able to spec a lot more options, than we have in the states.

Is this the same Carbon black that was on the E46 M3s? If so it is an amazing color.
