Happy new (to me) owner of M3CX in Frozen Dark Grey on Kyalami Orange/carbon interior
Featured on BIMMERPOST.com After waiting for my local dealer here in Vermont to get an allocation, after 1 year & no movement they told me that I should go elsewhere. So I did. Another year wait for an allocation is what I’m told BUT they just got a used M3 that fits my build… So I flew down to NoVA and picked up a 22 M3 CompX w/ 3k miles in Frozen Dark Grey on KO/carbon interior. Carbon buckets, CCB, ext carbon package - thank you to the previous owner. Has PPF on the front bumper hood and pillars. I took the 8 hr 47 min 657 mile drive solo back to Vermont with 3 pit stops driving through rain, sun, freezing rain, and light snow. Just barely got it in the garage before more than a foot of snow fell. The carbon bucket seats are amazing. Super comfy. Who cares about getting in and out. Seats are for sitting. Wouldn’t get another without them. The colors are amazing. The performance is incredible. I was leaning towards a 22 M5 comp but after test driving it I felt a little let down. Not with the M3, it’s MENTAL. Only needs a snow tire set up! It’s nice to be back in BMW M. My last M car was an 01 M Coupe, sold it in 07 when I started needing AWD moving from VA to VT I have had a string of Audis. I was so excited when M made the M3 with XDrive and now the dream has come true! Again credit to the previous owner who ordered such an amazing example of engineering and art. Photos from dealership, drive back, had a spirited drive with a GT3 in the NJ, and finally home. |

Congrats on ur car. It looks stunning !!! Curious about the previous owner. Looks like they went for a specific build and skipped the laser on purpose. Did u have to pay over MSRP ?

Agreed, not sure why they would have left out the lights. Not sure of the previous owner. Picked it from a BMW dealer in NoVA. I lucked out and paid a good bit less than original MSRP. That said I have been looking for months for an allocation and could not come across anything that was available and MSRP that had the specs I “needed” but then this opportunity came up and couldn’t say no. |

FDG/ KO excellent. I have a bad habit of looking for all of the options on the car, right after I see what color it is, and I don't know why?
The first thing I noticed was CCBs and Full leather, without lasers. Literally $1,000. But, it also depends on when this car was built. When the car first came out, in 2021, the Laser lights were part of the Executive Package, automatically. For the 2022 model year, they were removed from the Executive Package, and made a $1,000 standalone option. Which you had to spec separately. There were a handful of people that got bumped from a 21 to a 22 back in July of last year, and CAs paid zero attention, telling people that nothing changed. Nothing did change. You still ordered the Executive Package, so, that was fine, but the laser lights weren't in the package. You had to go back and add them. It's possible that's what happened, here. Since this car, has just about everything else, well, sans driving assistance pro package. It also may or may not have the M Drive Professional, or the M Drivers Package. You can see if it has the drift analyzer on the infotainment, but without going over 160, you wont know if it has the M Drivers Package, or not. You can check the packages installed, here. https://www.mdecoder.com/

Very nice. The best part is you got idrive 7. Trust me, that alone is worth getting a 22 over a 23 model.
