I don’t think individual leather was even an option in the US. Sounds like a change to rest of world markets

So does this mean that the only BMW Individual option you can order is paint? I didn’t even know “BMW Individual Composition” was a thing or was not aware of it. I always just referred anything BMW Individual as Individual paint or BMW Individual Manufaktur.

I guess if BMW Individual options are gone to customer, we’ll just have to wait for some sort of “special edition” vehicle where BMW would package these BMW Individual options which would make it more “special” due to the availability of the options.

Oh no everyone trying to be different by buying the same cars are gonna be mad lol

They shafted themselves as soon as they nixed LSB from the program.

BMW indeed just continues to hand themselves their own L's.

Soon we’ll have a choice of a white, black, grey and either a blue or green—just like the M4 CSL and M3 CS exterior color options. Soon only 1 interior choice, black. So much for personalized choice.

The upside is nothing has been mentioned for the US built X individual program. Cause BMW AG wants to shift all of the M3/M4 buyers to soccer mom cars

So my CA just called me and read an email from corporate that says that all Individual colors are unavailable for the remainder of MY23 for all models. My options for my order are to change to a normal or semi-individual (Dravit, Tanz, Aventurin, Frozen Blue/White/Gray, etc) color and still get an MY23, or bump myself to an MY24.

I talked to him about the Individual Composition bit, and he knew exactly what that was, but said this wasn't it. He and his GM are going to reach out to their regional rep for further clarification.

No, that was in December, and was for the M4, which is getting its "mild LCI" of iDrive 8 in March, like the M3 did last summer. Mine is an M3, and they received the notice today, for the entire lineup. He read off a long list of models, including the M3.

Again, I'll see what additional clarity they've gotten when I talk to him again tomorrow. Fingers crossed its just the Individual Composition thing, but we spent about 20 minutes going through the details and it sure didn't seem like it.

Got it. The thread which is shared earlier is not just for M4. If you scroll down you will see a long list of vehicles but it didnt include M3. So the information with your CA shared should be something new.

This would make a lot of sense, I was at my Porsche dealer the other day and they were told this year Porsche will do everything they can to unload the backlog and 911 production should ramp up, my small dealer in Canada has 200+ 911 backlog alone..

From May 2022 to now I only jumped one spot for a C2 GTS, that means they basically received only one in 2022...

I wouldn't be surprised at all that BMW adopts similar strategy to clear backlogs. Thank god my Malachite M3 is scheduled for production.

Here is the official answer we got from our rep as far as if BMW is taking away individual composition option on M3/4

--No, we hit the deadline for indi on the My23 M4 but not the M3 yet.

Is your car scheduled for production yet or you’re still waiting on an allocation?

Still waiting on an allocation. I am 2nd in line, was expecting it either next week, or in March. Likely April or May build at the latest, so still MY23.
