hmmm haven't heard anything about this from BMW as of now. Usually we get notified about something this big pretty far in advance. Ill check in with the guys again tomorrow but nothing sent to dealers as far as I have seen as of today

Do you know what that entails? Is Composition referring to Individual Manufaktur stuff?

The question should be is euro delivery ever coming back. That is a big WTF! Since BMW now specializes in soccer mom cars built in the US my hopes are pretty low.

@ynguldyn I wouldn't exactly say taken out of context but because the composition that individual refers to was left out of the title, it lead most here to believe it was the individual paint program.
Not faulting you but the lack of wording mislead quite a few into a bit of a panic on the first page |

AFAIK, Individual Composition has been a factory option comprised of a group of parts (paint, trim, leather) each categorized as Individual, as opposed to being part of Manufaktur. In the USA, this option was introduced in the 7-Series about 15 years ago, and specifically in the E93 M3 for MY2012 only (package XC4).
My guess is that by eliminating Composition, BMWAG wants to pack Individual orders of more than one option to Manufaktur instead - there is more money this way. Regardless, there is always a stop (not a cancellation) of Individual orders before each model year change-over, so the lead time to completion stays within the model year on which the order was placed - ordered a MY2023, and received a MY2023. |

lets hope its not true, seems like a pretty silly thing to do mid cycle (unless it was end of the model cycle of course) but then again the past 5 years has shown some "interesting" moves so who knows. Either way ill have the guys check the memos we receive from BMW today when they get in and see if there is anything that pops up. ill report back later this morning.

There might be higher percentage of G8x orders opting for individual paints and BMW might want to pause it for a year or two until are done clearing off the backlog orders. This way their manufacturing can be more efficient.

It's not unusual to stop individual or not have it on new models during the ramp. It's also not unusual to end it before production end. Individual paint/interior can add 12 weeks to production lead times. If that is the case, then you would want to stop taking individual orders no later than 4-5 months before end of production so those cars can be made.
If there is a LCI, expect individual to come back about 4-6 months in.
