Took delivery in Sep 15th, and have whopping 149 km. Obviously not my daily and I WFH. It’s now stored for the Winter. Will likely take me a year to get the break in done! |

I will continue to drive the car without care for the mileage accrued.
I haven't had a single issue with this car. So I've decided not to spend like $6,500 on an extended warranty, mostly because it wouldn't last all that long with my driving habits (20k to 30K per year). So I may as well just leave that money in the market and have it work for me. The G8X seems to be pretty well-built, as I think BMW may have gotten this generation "right" in regard to general reliability. But time will tell. If not and it becomes a maintenance headache like some other past BMW models, I'll just trade it in. And oh by the way, like others, I also work from home, so no commuting. Thus, most of these miles are "just because I can" miles....e.g. long trips, random introspective drives for mental health, and of course just random errand running.

2023 G82 M4C X-Drive, delivered in September. Just hit 1K and had the break in service performed early. I now have it stored for the winter, but will definitely drive it HARD, during the spring/summer months.

Elimination of friction (or rather a significant reduction) in the steering system and suspension. Tire wear also likely to be a factor.
