I personally never thought the M3 would be a car I would purchase ever (not just because of this generation). I always thought if i was going buy the entry level sports car from Germany it would be the C63 amg. M5 was always my dream car. I was originally going to place an order for an M5 last year after 10 plus years owning 4 dodge chargers. However, after being warned about the limits of the 4.4 V8 and the lack of styling personally for me of the current generation M5. I tried to purchase a new Shelby GT500 which it was set to arrived within a week at the dealer. it listed for 83k but they had a 10k markup. I just couldn't pay above MSRP. I change to the S58 M3. I was sold on the unlimited tuning potential of this vehicle and AWD (even though we're not there yet, but the potential in the S58). I ended up paying more for the M3…but at least it was at MSRP

I did not fall in love with this vehicle during the initial release. I was one of many who laughed and was in disbelief of the styling. However, I did instantly fall in love Rago's video of the FDG which I may of helped reach it's 2 million plus views. Through the waiting period of securing an allocation, I must of changed colors over a 100 times. Although I loved the FDG, I was reluctant on the maintenance and simply the additional cost of the color. Many forum members took so many shots of PMB, IOMG, FDG, Dravit grey that I can't thank enough. I switched everyday after watching one video or saw a new photo. Needless to say by the time I actually secured my allocation in October. I didn't decided on FDG the morning of (IOMG was a tough second). My family was in disbelief after all the back forth I ended back to the color that made me fall in love with the car. I'm certainly glad I did…although @RockinPA is starting to make me doubt with his Mexico blue M3.

So far I have driven almost 500 miles since last Wednesday. None of it was for work, all of it was for joy. I simply love what this car can do that the Charger Hellcat simply could not. I'm sorry I don't have great photos yet. It's getting PPF and tint in two weeks. After that I will try to get better shots.

Thanks you for the long read and thank you for the forum members that has been amazingly helpful. (@Modat, @CANE, @Bahamut, @VIC55, @PSYlovibe, @F80SRT, @Androidrobot, @ M3AWD, @OG_E46) I'm sure I missed some. Thank you guys for helping/guiding me through this experience.

We have the same car. I picked mine up a month before you, got her PPF'd, etc. It gets a LOT of attention.

ChargerHellcat, My fraternal car twin!

You already got 500 miles!? I better start driving more, only got 85 miles on mine. Dang, nothing looks sexier than a G80 covered in suds! OK well, there are other things, but I digress.

Have you even had your 1200 mile service yet? Not sure if you have 500 total or since a certain point. Assuming you are not even at the first service, and this car still does all these things a Hellcat cannot... what does that say about the Dodge? I have driven a few and have never been impressed. Outrageous acceleration, sure, but nothing more for my tastes.

Dodge doesn't claim to be anything else other than a muscle car. I was never disappointed. I was well aware the Charger Hellcat was not going cut through a corner. I tried…It didn't feel good and there were so hairy moments. However, It never instilled the confidence for me to do more…especially when I can feel the rear want to break loose. I'm at 500 miles total. Not at the break in yet. I truly cannot wait!!! I will say this in Dodge's honor. You feel like a kid, the supercharger whine, the v8 and the exhaust. I do sincerely miss that.

haha yes. I love driving it. Every chance I get. I'm curious, what's the name who painted your car?

Thank you. It was fun and frustrating journey. Hopefully somehow we get a chance to meet up on a M3 car meet down the road.

Corners and more corners. I love how it makes me want to take a corner faster and faster because the car is telling me that I can. The Charger Hellcat was screaming at me to slow down at every corner.

surprisingly this car has not received a TON of attention, not like the Charger Hellcat. Which I'm completely okay with. It has turns some heads. Charger Hellcat was crazy, people would chase me down just to try to race me.

Congrats, on finally getting your M. I know its been a long time coming. It seems like we've been waiting years for some people to get their cars, and this, to me, seems like one of the longest. I love FDG. Enjoy every corner in good health. I took delivery in October, and I have 5,800 miles on my M4X. I just want to get in it, and drive it. Even if Im just going to the corner store.

Haha it did seem like it took years. It was one of those ordeal where people asked about the car. I almost felt like I was making it up this imaginary girlfriend that never existed lol. Until now. We're just alike in terms of trying to drive this as much as possible. I took a 25 mile trip for a 5 gallon bucket. Could I have gotten it closer? Yea but that wasn't the point .

You were so helpful that I can't even thank enough, taking all those extra shots in the day! Very grateful.

I'm still very undecided on the spacers and lowering it. I thought about just doing spacers, then I see how your car sits perfectly lol. I'm concerned about scrapes and stone chips. Really…I'm waiting for someone to unlock the ECU in the states. I'm usually more focus on performance mods. I would love to upgrade the turbos, turn up the exhaust a little bit without cat deletes. My personal goal with this car is mid 9s and a 60-130 in the low 5s or high 4s. I know we're still a little bits away from that. That's the plan. Till then - I'm going to find out what it's really like to own a sports car. I love the Charger Hellcat, sports car it was not.

Welcome to the M family!

Frozen is such a special finish - really adds to the whole car. I've absolutely enjoyed maintaining my Frozen White G80 over the last year.

Dr. Beasley's makes some of the best stuff for matte finishes on the market.

Lol! Dude, we always want what we don't have. To be honest, I have been really loving all of these matte /frozen finishes and thinking I may have to go this direction next time (as much as I love my Mexico Blue).

Looks awesome dude! Looking forward to seeing what you do to that beast! Enjoy it.

True. It'd def be cool to see. I like it better nice and glossy though in Mexico. It's already been entirely PPF'ed.

Awesome spec, congrats. I just took delivery of mine after ordering back in September and it was totally worth the wait!

What you said about corners speaks to my soul. I thought I used to take corners quickly in my STI.. now I take the same corners even harder in my manual RWD G80 and it feels more grippy and AWD-like than the AWD STI..

I love how when I can hit a corner now I'm not thinking of how hard I have to slow down. I'm thinking how fast can I come out of that turn.
