Also, your signature says you have to car on order. That isn't accurate either. All you have is a spot on the list.
Changed it for you - happy now? 😂

You might not want to blindly believe what your CA says and post those updates here. There is plenty of info in the forum to cross check any info.

Dealers can place an order only when allocations are rolled out and its rolled out a couple of months before production begins by march of next year.

$10 says he's gonna slap a fake "CS" badge on a 2023 M3 and sell it to you for $175k.

Honestly, dealers are usually the last to know (or just won't say either way until things are officially announced). I got on the list for my M5 CS about 2 years before it was officially announced. I got on the list for the M3 CS about 9 months ago (got the first allocation as well).

Ah so you're an experienced M buyer! So you should be aware of how these announcements and allocations work, no? Jk just pulling your leg new guy. The new M3CS is exciting, I actually think more forum members are excited about this than the M4CSL!

Do people feel the M3cs will be a good flip opportunity? Assuming you'd be able to get one at msrp.

Yeah that'll be the decision to make, and I guess by the time I'd actually get one I'll have had several months with a G80 6MT to help me decide if I want to keep the 6MT or not... If I do, then flippity flip. If not then I should get good resale value for the 6MT and find myself in a shiny new CS.

I'm probably going to put a deposit down for one. Seems there's nobody in line currently at one of the dealers near me.

For you experienced M purchasers: If the production starts 3/23 and based on previous data, when will they start taking orders, ie give out allocations?

I too am #1 on the list especially since I just took delivery of a well spec'ed G80 M3C from the same dealership and traded in a Porsche. If BMW plays Porsche games then hopefully this will help to keep CS price at MSRP as my G80 was MSRP also.

In the recent past, dealers have been receiving allocations couple of months before production. Not sure if its gonna be any different for CS and it also depends on any component shortage at that point.

Before production, yes, before announcement, no.

For the M5 CS, all of the allocations were given to dealers around April/March of last year and production started around June (I think). I had my dealers first allocation and took delivery last August.

Additional allocations were distributed, but the dealers didn't know if they'd get extra. My dealership originally got 2, but may have been able to grab an extra one.

I'm expecting the M3 CS to follow the same way, so probably expect allocations to hit dealers around the end of Q3 or early Q4.

How do you like the steering feedback on the M5CS vs G80?

I haven't driven a G80 yet. I went from the F80 M3 CS to the M5 CS.
