Whoa, so your car started assembly today and left factory same day? Am i reading this right? I have a allocation for Build Week 20, May 15, but due to closing on a house need it no sooner than July. End of July might be better. Should I wait on another allocation or go with this one?

To my surprise I'm already done with quality check as well. Some people get stuck there for a bit. Hoping to get to 'Dispatched from factory' like you by the end of the day.

No way. You never know when you'll get another allocation.
And you don't know how long you will be stuck at any given step. Some people get stuck at quality check for a while, other at the port waiting for a ship. I'd keep it and try to work around it if needed.

I've been told/noticed the status on site lags a bit. So, not too surprised if the statuses appears in assembly and leaves factory all on the same day -- probably playing catch up. But, production date/build week seems accurate for when it finishes build.

IMO, I'd ask if you could swap places to be safe. I actually placed an order after my close too, but it took ~7mos to get an allocation (might be easier to get one this year).

You week 13 folks are nipping at the heels of us week 12 folks and we all may end up leaving the port at the same time. We just have to wait for the week 11 crowd to find their way onto a ship, or we could just cut the line!! Dispatched from factory day 2 right now, but the tracker is always a step/day behind so I’m assuming I’m at the port as are most of us week 12ers, but we’ll see on Monday. Hate the weekends, no updates!!

I'm thinking I might have it in 6 weeks if all goes well. I'm US but east coast so that helps. I feel I have some waiting to do 'At the port'. Seems to be where the process slows down.

True, although I’m trying to suss out how long the wait is right now. Most, if not all of the week 10 folks have found their way onto a ship and reading the week 11 posts they’re in line waiting/hoping for a ship and now here we come. In full disclosure, this is the third BMW I’ve ordered in the last 24 months and I’m starting to feel like a regular Sherlock Holmes unpacking delays, choke points and delivery times. It’s a sad obsession, but weirdly fun! I need help!!!

My car started production (150) on the 22nd. It went from 150 to 190 in 2 days. Sounds about right.

I called BMW Genius and I don't have an assigned vessel, but they also told me to call them back when my car gets to the port.
