M-Belts part numbers needed

Hi folks,
It looks like BMW has started installing the M-Belts package on 6MT cars already, in preparation for the LCI changes. My G80 is still on the assembly line and I am not getting them. Another forum member is on status 112 hor his G80 6MT and his build has them.

I am wondering if anyone can post the part numbers for the M-belts. I would certainly like to buy them and replace them on my car when it arrives.

Thanks in advance.

Just got my allocation and production number today for a ‘24 6mt. M seat belts show up as a no charge option on the build specification sheet.

That's interesting.. I thought week 19 was still a 2023 model.. unless you are an M4 build.

The Mbelts are randomly showing up in builds as no charge option, even on G80. This is not the point of this thread.

I am interested in knowing the ETK part numbers for the Mbelts so I ca8order them separately.

IND-Distribution has them for F8X, maybe it’s the same part number, or maybe they have them for G8X as well? Kind of expensive though.

If you look at the spec sheet for an auto/comp car the line item is "4GQ M Seat Belts"

Ex: https://g80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=2003623

I think some cars have them since the allocation dropped from corporate for a comp car, the dealer switched it to manual/base allocation, and the seat belts remained. Just a guess.

edit: I now see your car is on the assembly line and you're looking to add them after delivery. Hopefully my info is helpful for someone else.

I've seen it play out exactly like this so I'm sure your theory is correct.

Not sure that is always the case. My dealer confirmed my G80 manual was originally spec’d as a comp model. I didn’t get the M belts unfortunately.

here you go
Should in theory be the following part numbers for M3
https://parts.bmwnorthwest.com/a/BMW...t/72_0907.html
Front left 72117496293
Front right 72118076367
and
https://parts.bmwnorthwest.com/a/BMW...r/72_0908.html
Rear left 72118076377
Rear center 72118076383
Rear right 72118076378

but i'm also seeing this part number listed for the fronts so
L 72118747229
https://parts.bmwnorthwest.com/p/BMW...118747229.html
R 72118747216
https://parts.bmwnorthwest.com/p/BMW...118747216.html

I think the second links are for the seatbelts with the reverse electromotive belt retractor (REMA) or self-tightening function. At least that is what my Google-fu says.

I wouldn't try knockoff seatbelts since you probably wouldn't want to trust them in an accident, but I would think you can probably search around at junkyards or for part outs of crashed cars since they were standard on the Competitions.
