Were you part of the Liberty Ship Deliveries, around that time? I ask, because that's when my vehicle was available.

Yes indeed! We’re you at the meet or in that Liberty chat group?

6K miles on my G83 after 8 months. Trading it in for my custom order G80 in about 6 weeks. Dreading having to go through the break-in miles again

No, I’m in Boston so I wasn’t able to link with you guys at the time. If there’s one this spring/summer, I’ll pull up.

Now at 16 months of ownership and at 7,432 miles. I swear I’d be closer to a 1,000 miles less on the odometer if it wasn’t for some of the meetup and drives I’ve done with other forum members.

Posted a few months ago, time for an update.
9/9/221 delivery.
Just about to hit 20,000.
It’s driving better than ever - have previously said that it takes 20,000 miles for any car to really bed in and loosen up.
Has been almost perfect since new, only issue is a rattle from the overhead console area that has been there since new (only happens when the car has warmed up… weird) will have it looked at with next service in ~2,000 miles.

Update when u can. Few of us have the same rattle. I am going in for service tomorrow but elected to not bring it up for fear they'd do some damage trying to fix it.

Will do.
Have the same fear!
They’ll disassemble and introduce new rattles (or worse…) on re-assembly.
I have a Blendmount and mirror tap and also suspect they might try and blame that, although the rattle was there before I installed the mount.
I moved state a year ago and would not have worried with my prior dealer but I have no relationship with the one I will be going to.

I'm more worried about them taking a screwdriver to my headliner to get the map light assembly out. I had a dealer take a screwdriver to my mint E46 M3 interior trim for the Takata airbag recall. It was impressive how much damage they managed to do with that one so I have a bit of PTSD from that. Good luck!

I get the same rattle but mostly when on an uneven surface. I also had a rattle from my infotainment system and the dealer put felt tape behind it and it cured the problem. I haven’t said anything about the overhead one yet.

Yes - same. Broken surfaces or ‘large grain’ surfaces set it off. Smooth tarmac is fine.
Temperature also has an effect, worse when warm.

Mine is a quiet buzz from the mic/sos button area. Happens constantly unless I'm stopped.
