Roof racks with carbon roof on G80...

I know the older F80 cars didn't have the adapters for roof racks with the carbon roof. Is the G80 body the same or can you know mount roof racks with the carbon roof?

PSIs sema car had a roof rack so I have to assume it has the mounting points. I would look up the build thread they might mention what they used.

They do. I have the BMW rack. It's about $250 on amazon. Takes about 5 minutes to put on/ take off. I am really happy with it.

It's there. At least it is on my G82. I don't see why it shouldn't be there on the G80s.

That's good to know - I bought and had to return a roof rack for my current F82, once I realised it had the mounting point covers but that the mounting points are under the carbon roof panel! 🤦🏼

The mounting points are actually on the F80/82 cars, however they have been covered over by the carbon roof panel.

If you option the sunroof instead of the default carbon roof, you get to use the mounting points. If you have the carbon roof they are still there - my understanding is you could drill through the carbon panel to expose the mounting holes, although I'm not sure why anyone would attempt it!

Fortunately if I take the front wheel off my Bianchi, I can just about get it in the boot of my F82 with the back seats down!

The carbon roof in the G80 does not obstruct the holes. I checked this prior to purchasing.
