I have recently ordered a G82 M4 Competition xDrive in Tanzanite Blue and with the M Carbon Pack, Orbit Grey 825M wheels and Silverstone/Black Bicolour Interior. The key dates and previous build and delivery info was:

- Placed the order on 03rd Nov 2021
- Received build date 12th Nov 2021
- Delivery date (UK) confirmed as w/c 07th Feb 2022

Due to the experiences I'm seeing online where people are suffering delays to their builds, I contacted the dealer today and got this back:

I thought I’d drop you a note to see if there is a build number available for my car yet and what the latest status is of it, as I hear there are delays being experienced by some customers at the moment?

So it seems BMW may be getting on top of their backlog!

I do wonder whether it's related to me PXing my current F82, as I found it unusual that they have guaranteed my trade-in value and minimum equity, when at the time of order they had no certainty how long it would take for the build in Germany. The trade-in price was based on 33k miles but clearly that will increase as each day/week goes by, so perhaps they are expediting or prioritising the build of cars that include a PX.

I sort of miss the whole tracking the build/harassing BMW Genius thing

Well, I would like to believe on that. But looking the actual situation, with multiple car stopped in QC.

I believe this is more Salesperson conversation than BMW improvements.

I have asking my salesperson about the issue with cars staying at QC, he told me there is nothing happening.

But, the fact is, current we are at week 48. My car was initially schedule for week 46 and at this point I'm seating at "Entering at assembly line".

Not sure I believe this. My week 50 order was just pushed to week 5

Well that would be really good news, I hope it sets through for all G8x cars on order!!! My G83 was ordered end of September, forecasted delivery end of March (Belgium). I really would not mind receiving it a bit earlier :-D

Just thought I would let you know your car has just entered the body shop and is planned for assembly.

We are looking to see the car here at Bristol in the last week of December, so if everything goes to plan it will be a lovely Christmas present for you!

My car entered assembly on 9/22 and I doubt I’ll have it within the next month or two. Are you in Europe?

Your build is very similar to mine, and expected delivery date is close to mine too, with the little difference I signed the order in july .

Checking the mygarage site and harassing genius has become part of my daily routine.....
