Exactly. GM has always made the corvette a "supercar" without it actually being a supercar. I think with the ME platform and the FPC engine, depending on what the final product will look like october 26, it's safe to say this is GM's first supercar. Since i'm in queue for a 1st MY z06, i will lease it and if i like it, get another one but buy it, since it'll have the revisions and other bugs worked out by then. This is definitely exciting but also sad we're at the end of the road here |

Still at port waiting in Germany, going into week 3. Genius today had no update, and also had never heard of the main bearing issue.
As of this afternoon per UK recall site, I still have the RAM stop sale, and thankfully that's it for now (fingers, toes, arms and legs all crossed...) |

I've seen a lot of stop sales lifted on the M3/M4 this week
The numbers were even more staggering on the regular 3 series cars but 90% of the stop sales has been resolved |

I heard something similar earlier today from my SA. He said it looked like some of the stop sales were clearing up. Hopefully this continues!

They’re not going to be fixing them at the port so it’s not because of the stop sale. It’s just the timing of the ships. Some people have to wait longer. But all repairs will be done at whatever VPC you’re assigned to in the States.

My G80c was completed Sept 16. Left Germany Sept 26 on the WW Elektra and got to Port Newark NJ on Oct 8. I saw on marinetraffic that the boat was down by Atlantic City about 24 hours later, so it must have unloaded and peaced out. So my car is at the Port. Let the VPC RAM install TBD countdown begin.

At this point, I can think of a million hypotheticals why our cars sit finished in Germany, from the simple explanation (backlog of cars to get on a boat), to other possibilities (such as waiting for RAM parts before the cars ship, which I do not think is the case), to things bordering on conspiracy theories LOL (they're not sure if our cars have the main bearing issue, and it's cheaper and easier to address while they're still in Germany...) Hard to know what's going on at this point. With things like the coincidental outage of the UK recall site (a few days after this forum discovers how helpful that tool was), the lack of transparency is frustrating. |

Customer: No I won't pay $100k for a car that had major work done before delivery. Give me a great deal so that I'm OK taking delivery of the engine-swap car, or order me a fresh one. Dealer: That's fine. If you don't want it, someone else will pay top dollar for an on-the-ground M3/M4 once it's fixed. And we're happy to order you another one...go to the back of the line, and maybe your car will be ready by fall 2022 or winter 2023. And we'll happily continue to hold your deposit. Perfect storm seller's market for the last 2 years, to stack the deck against all of us. But on the bright side, perhaps we'll all get to start buying absurdly expensive 10w60 oil for these engines, like I used to enjoy so much for my e46 m3 after its bearing recall |

My M3 manual arrived at the port on 27–July with a camera and audio stop sale. They were finally resolved on 02-Oct and now I have been waiting for over 2 weeks for it to be loaded on a truck and shipped to the dealership. Anybody else experiencing any problems like this? I have called everyone and no one has any answers.
