Not saying it looks bad, but I'm not sure if I like SMB here as much as on the F8x.

However, it may simply be that the black wheels worsen the appearance, they sure don't help IMHO.

Can’t wait for mine! Glad I got the bi-color wheels. Can you post a link to the thread on that other forum?

One thing I've realized during my obsessive search for what color I want is that cameras simply cannot capture very dynamic colors, particularly those with high metallic effect, very well. These pics seems to crush any highlight detail in the paint.

I'm sure it looks great live as the body design has plenty of curves/edges to take advantage of the extremely flake effect of San Marino.

I hope you are right- these pictures do not seem to do the color justice. The videos I have seen of San Marino cars being detailed seem to better demonstrate the dynamic nature.

After months of deliberating color choices, my San Marino M3 is about to go into production. I also chose the bi-color wheels, which I think should help.

I look forward to seeing your pics! I have until late 22/early 23 to place an order, so i am hoping to see a few examples first, but San Marino is currently tops on my list. I haven't seen it is n person for several years, but there used to be an M6 in my area that I remember drooling over every time I saw it.

In person the color is just insane, it’s such a hard color to capture accurately with a camera. I love it

It is indeed. Never forget seeing a 2014 M6 Coupe outside in broad daylight in the middle of summer at the local dealership, it's a thing to behold.

Thanks, you guys have walked me off the "last minute color change" ledge... at least for now. I nearly switched my San Marino to Enzian, but now I am sticking with San Marino, partly because I'm tired of waiting for the car.

My CA was not happy when I asked him about the last minute change, since I just moved to scheduled for production (Week 41!). He insists that changing the color will push it much father back (although BMW genius disagrees).

If you change from a normal color to individual, it'll absolutely push you back. However, I'm not certain what would happen changing from one individual to another. I would assume you'd get pushed back, but I could be wrong.

That being said, SMB is an awesome color, and I would stick with it if I were in your shoes.

Delays aside, San Merino is so much richer looking than Enzian.

I think that the pictures here just didn't capture it very well. I was hoping to see amazing pictures of a G8x in SMB but these let me down.

I'm not gonna stress though, I'm sure that we will see better pictures pop up while we wait for ours.. which is so tough. I'm week 45.. been waiting since June.

I can confirm the color is superb to witness in person.
I own a F36 440xi in SMB and it's stunning, and the only pictures i can get close to reality are those shot during night under street lights (not the yellowish ones though).
Congrats on your purchases guys.

I agree. Awaiting the arrival of my M4 Comp in SMB - hopefully no more delays and here by December.

Please please post quality pictures. This color is my #1 for my g80 LCI to replace my g20 in a few years
