G8x xDrive versus C8 z06
Supposedly the new C8 Z06 was timed at 7:12 in traffic. How do folks think the xDrive G8x will stack up versus the C8 Z06?
Interesting comparison as the price points might be similar ball park. |

That’s at least 15 seconds better than what we’ll see from the AWD G8x on PS4S or similar.

That's really fast wow! You would probably need a million horsepowers and some system to glue the car to the ground. Also you would need a robot to drive the car as no human could take those G-forces

This. As much as i'm starting to love these M cars, all of them, corvettes, especially z06's and zr1's are insanely next level.
The C8 z06 should clock a 7:02-7:05 at the ring. M3/M4 will come nowhere near that. |

Might get into 7:25 with xdrive and more with some tuning but we're talking a track oriented chassis versus a sedan.

yup, had a C7Z, loved that thing! M's are a nice sweet spot to hit the track, but if you wanna tear some shit up, get the Z. Just not an Auto C7Z. LOL |

Although when i get the C8z, hopefully winter 2022, i'll decide then if i wanna get rid of the c7z for it, or hang on to the c7z for a bit longer. It'll be hard to get rid of a car like this. And no i didn't get the auto. As much as autos are faster/more efficient, somewhat "better" than manuals these days, in the case of the C7 generation, the auto freaking sucked lol. Bad. |

The c7Z to me was a car that wanted to kill me everytime i drove it. Which is why i could never get enough. They dont make cars like that anymore. Torque was everywhere, on request anytime you needed it. Your C8Z will have its work cut out for it, but chevy always delivers in their top of the line Vette. Old girl for sale here actually. https://www.georgenahaschevrolet.com...71c394ab2f.htm |

But if you go that route, modify the z06 as well, and put cup2's and watch the z06 do 7 flat
People on the midenginecorvetteforum really think the c8 z06 with the z07 package will clock a 6:5x. If GM manages that, will elevate corvette to an entirely new level of performance. |

Damn that thing is a beauty man. Wait so it's for sale again? Or it's still for sale from the time you gave it up? The value went up on these cars man lol. It's really tempting to sell. But maybe when i get the M3C i'll see where my feelings are lol. Maybe i'm really attached to my c7z because i had it since brand new and technically it's the only toy i have, aside from my crotch rocket. But even when i get the c8z, there's nothing like the sound of a GM small block pushrod engine. The LS/LT engines GM put out the past decade or so have been astonishing. Incredibly powerful and VERY VERY reliable. I have never gotten a CEL in my c7z EVER. And i don't really baby it. It's the best car i have ever owned. And it has 700+hp. |

The 2022 is already scheduled to produce almost 20k units. Stingrays that is so they look like they're catching up well since all the hold ups. The c8z will be on every single persons wish list. EVERYONE wants one. I'm in queue for a 1st year z06. And unless my dealer can only get 20 allocations for the first year, there is no doubt i'm getting a 2023. Unless when GM debuts the car next month and the starting price is like 150k lol. Then i'm out. I'll just get a low mileage C7 zr1 and sell my z06 then. |

Definitely but like you said, 2 totally different cars. I would never classify them under the same category. You're in germany? Do you follow misha charoudin? I love his channel man. Makes me wish i lived near the ring lol He did a piece of the c8 z06 and even saw the M4 CS? The holeshot acceleration at 5:03 was brutal. I can't wait to do that |

It makes me happy but also sad with the c8 because GM is finally giving us or showing us what else they can do with the corvette, almost as a final farewell before we all go electric. They're basically telling us, "oh you thought we were done after the c7? We got something better!" I'm glad GM has given it's customers ferrari like sounds and performance (or better) to those who can't actually afford a ferrari lol. But soon, no more awesome sounds |
