Spoke to Genius today and seems like I got moved from week 44 to week 42. Let's hope it stays that way!

Why? Since when? When did you place your order? When did you get an allocation? I’m still scheduled for production. They did move me back to order received a couple of weeks ago but then a week later went back two scheduled for production. Are you an M4 or M3?

It changed last night at some point. No idea why, I have been watching several threads and there doesn’t seem to be a consistent reason behind delays other than it is supply issues across multiple items other than and including semi conductors. Mine is a M4CX with all the options except carbon seats and ceramic brakes.

OK guys I really want to hear from this group more this week please. I am still in “scheduled for production” as of this morning October 4. If everything is going good at the Munich plant we should “start production” by Friday morning. So please if you think you are in week 42 chime in every day this week to give us some information. Pictures from the computer showing you are week 42 would be helpful also. Thanks.

If it’s not scheduled for production now I’m not sure he is in week 42. I’m also particularly interested to hear from people who are building an M3. i’m sure different models have different parts problems and therefore the schedule is going to be moved around differently for each different model.

Mine too. All the options apart cb seats. Mine has the Carboceramic brakes too.

I think that the more optional you have, the more delays you're likely to experience.

It's the only reason behind a 13 weeks of delay for mine (as of today...)

There are several here with loaded builds saying on course. It must be something else. None of this makes any sense. I would also like to know what percentage of vehicles completed in let’s say week 34, 35 and so on that are stop sale status at a port right now. That would be interesting to know.

I have every single option on my build except CCB, buckets and Driving Assistance Professional (don't like radar in grille).

Maybe they are rationing the parts and re-scheduling builds based on overall market sales based on historic data/sale targets/etc

Whatever it is it doesn't seem fair to the end customer. I have no control over the amount of cars BMW sells in Poland or whether that amount meets someone's target. What I can control is when I place the order (which I did on May 25th) and would appreciate if it is taken into consideration.

Chances are that if I were to fly tomorrow to the NYC and order a car I would get it sooner than ordering in a country neighboring where it is built.

Sorry guys for the rant but the wait is frustrating.

I got moved up to Week 41 apparently.

My spec is on the first page of this thread and I'm in California if that helps in any way.

still showing "scheduled for production". Genius says week 42 build. Isn't week 42 week of 10/18 not 10/11?

No. If you are truly week 42 and your dealer can actually show you your order then that would mean your build is expected to be finished by the week of October 18. Not starting but finished.

That’s what I have read on here, I’m just passing along what Genius told me. I hope you are right and they don’t bump me.
