I dont have Facebook anymore, unfortunately but maybe should for just that purpose. Where did you purchase your 2021 G80 from BSM_G808?

What build week are/were you? I’ve a M4 AWD that I ordered in July (expected build week is 37 - mid-September). Since I picked an individual color, I’m only expecting it to arrive by the end of the year at best. When I had a fully built car dropped off in Munich after European delivery in mid-August once, it only arrived in Seattle in November - so working the estimates on that basis.

If you’re not a member of BMW CCA, consider joining - the Puget Sound chapter organizes events. There’s nothing G8x specific but I’d be interested in something like that.

You even get to do a few parade laps on the track around 60-70mph...
Nowhere near what a real track event is but at least you can play around a bit....

Also previous years you would be able to ride on instructor's cars for hot laps but with covid i'm not sure...

I’ll check it out! Thank you. I’m hoping for a prod number next week and my CA said I should have it by mid October at latest. Not sure where that leaves me as far as a build week. I put in my order in early July as well so hoping to get a prod number anytime now. Congrats on the car! What individual color did you choose kjx ?

The color is Enzian blue, the same as snareman on this forum.

Pulling off memory so dates are approximate:
July 6 - put in an order, waiting for an allocation
July 23 - obtained an allocation (and corresponding production number). I then put the production number into the mybmw site with my other cars and I can track its status and progress there. Calling up the BMW Genius phone number gave me the exact build week scheduled.
Mid-September - build week 37 - it should go through assembly then

If you've not been given a production number yet, and you get one in August, it'll likely be for an October production slot. You'll likely get your car about the same time as me (around Dec) with delays added for my car on the color.

If they're only offering a slot in October, make sure you're talking to all three dealerships in Puget Sound - go with whoever gets you an allocation first. No one is giving any notable discount on the M4 so that shouldn't matter.

What an amazing color that blue is! Frustrating. I just talked to my CA and he now said 90-100 days from when production starts. This is not what I was told when I put my deposit down in early July. I ended up calling Seattle and will hopefully get a better breakdown and treatment from them. At this point, you’re right. Earliest I can expect a car delivery is mid November and that’s not even likely.

I can't wait for that! Sure hope I see some G80s so I can experience different colors…Hoping to order one this winter.
