Axle back I've seen only a few, Remus, Valvetronic, and MPE.
I understand this but the "axle" back still requires the 2nd section for the cans to operate (remus). One could try to buy just the Remus rear section but I doubt it would work without some extreme fabrication.

And then add in the carbon fiber tips and its almost as much as the full monty.

So my question was is there just a valve back exhaust out there? I think AA has one but never heard it.

Remus pipe diameter is 70mm, same as stock since it needs to pair up with the secondary cats or the resonators (depending on which version you get).

Ok, i saw on the link provided earlier that stock was 70mm and Remus was 76mm. Maybe a typo?

Maybe it'll just be easier to get the full system and fabricate pipes to eliminate the secondary cats.

Are you trying to replace the mufflers only? In other words keep the stock valves, resonators, and secondary cats?

I've seen some sites say 70mm and others 76mm. The stock pipes are 70mm so I'm assuming it's the same so they (Remus and stock pipe) can pair up easily.

Sorry I wasnt more clear, my current set up is factory dps and secondaries but all 4 resonator cans are gone. So in reality I dont need a mid pipe but was hoping for a more basic plug and play with valves at the axle back level vs Remus which requires two full pieces.

Something maybe like this but not with the extension pipes?

Basically starting at the valves and moving to the tips only but I dont think there are any out there as the Fab speed has their pipes attached and Remus requires its setup.

Remus themselves have stated in the leaflet that their connection tube package which connect the rear muffler to the stock midpipe are 76 mm. The stock are 70mm so I guess there would be some form of a clamp for connection to stock midpipe. Just a guess. But I am sure it would be difficult to attach just the remus muffler to stock tubes as the anatomy seem to be completely different. I would have preferred that as the connection tube is over $1700.

That’s a problem then. Why would they do that? It would make more sense if everything was the same size and it was plug and play.

I see what you're saying now. You may be forced to buy the axle back version even if your resonators are gone. You'll have to pair your current pipes with the Remus, either cut the Remus to size or the resonator delete pipes.

Still comes out pricey anyway you slice it.

This is what I was hoping to avoid... Remus got creative with their teaser parts which are required to be mated vs being modular.

I really enjoyed my Remus full catback on my F90 too!!

I might try the Fabspeed one but will need to cut those pipes.

Fabspeed happens to be my second favorite exhaust after Remus. Not many exhausts out there that make the s58 engine sound good. Other exhausts are either too raspy or sound like stock. Would be interested to hear how your car sounds if you plan on going with fabspeed.

I’m hoping I’ll be able to pair the Remus and supersprint no problem since they both claim to replace factory components with the same size. I’ll know when I get the supersprint H pipe on in a few weeks. It just arrived at the shop today.

Go to 1:19 (not sure if you saw this one)

It compares the rear section only (Fabspeed) and the rear section with their mid section (which is similar to mine now)...

Despite the exhausts mods you've done to your car already, how are you wanting your car to sound? Loud, tamed, in between? Anything similar to the videos already posted (Shmee's, fabspeed, valvetronic, etc)?

You might like this then.

I'm expecting to get my Remus catback exhaust in about a week (fingers crossed). I'll be posting a video of how the car sounds stock vs secondary catback vs secondary cat delete. What you hear in the video above is Remus+ secondary cats+ no resonators.

Yess I like that one alot (heard it before) but Ill need to get the connecting pipe -- vs just finding a rear setup with valves. I think there are few Remus set ups in their warehouse in Texas.

I think Ill have to do that no matter what so it is what it is, and therefore I would then take Remus.

They used my F90 for the Remus video back in the day (see post 4 in this thread) and its a fantastic exhaust at a great price.

Your F90 sounds really nice.

Yea you might have to just bite the bullet and buy the version you need and modify that to fit your needs. That video I linked above is what sold me on the Remus exhaust, then Shmee's video sealed the deal.

I hope you get your exhaust soon as I heard some who had place their orders in the bank are now not getting the exhaust until almost February 2022.

Hoping to see someone pair the Remus rear section with either the Valvetronic or Active Autowerke single mid. I have a AA single mid coming in Feb. Will see if its loud enough for my liking.
