Just brought my G80 in for new pads and rotors and my car was affected by this. They said the front seat belts failed their test. So now it can't be released for safety reasons which is understandable. Anybody else had this happen? Just wondering how long did parts take to get to your dealer because they can't give an eta until it leaves Germany supposedly. Thanks in advance

Got the seatbelt recall notice in the mail today. Edit - CarScoops need to take classes on writing for clarity. It's 12 models affected, approx. 21k cars.

Why are you replacing rotors? Are they cracked or have a significant lip?

Ahh I was tripping about how my car was one of 12 that got it lol. Dropped it off on 8/29 and parts supposedly came in on 9/10. Just waiting for them to give me a call.

I take my car out for a drive on the mountain every weekend but noticed some pulsation in the brake pedal. They found it to be the rear rotors so they replaced that and the pads. Didn't get to drive it yet though.

Are they covering it under some warranty? The rotor looks fine to me, but you can't see the inside or the other one where there might be pad deposits. I'd have it rotors turned first before replacing them if it's out of pocket. Also cheaper than having race pads installed front and rear.

It's under warranty and these are actually the new rotors. Went and took a pic while grabbing things out of my car as it was expected to be there for more than a few days.

I haven't called my dealership yet. I seriously don't have time to go over there right now. Sigh.
