Nice "unboxing" video, though he rambles on a bit. He plans to PPF some of it so that'll be interesting see his take on that.

Thanks. It does look darker specially on cloudy days. PPF is only on the front hood and fenders and bumpers but it's definitely a dark colour overall.

Thanks. I have one on order, and I wasn't sure if the PPF may have some dramatic change to the paint. Do you happen to have some filter applied to the video? I am referencing the first page of this post, with some gloomy shots where the paint still looks grey. https://g80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...7&postcount=11

No filters on the video and don't worry about PPF it won't impact the shade at all. All I can tell you is that this is an incredibly special paint and a head turner. You will absolutely love it but consider ceramic coat. I've got two coats on the entire car and use special ceramic shampoo etc. Definitely no car wash.

Frozen paints require care and good maintenance but beautiful to look at.

Here are some shots of the car right after PPF and ceramic back when it was nice and sunny. Pics are raw with no post production:

The M3 comes with Frozen Dark Grey, which is different than the Frozen Deep Grey you can get on the M4. Deep Grey is actually darker than dark grey.

That's great. I'd love to know the ceramic coating you used. I've heard conflicting views on ceramic coating matte paints. I'd love more info! Thanks

Yes I need education on ceramic coating but specifically if it's recommended on frozen paints

I ordered an entire kit from Dr Beasleys, specific for matte paints.

I see a deep grey m4 manual available...one of my customers canceled because he moved away and needed a truck instead

I went to a detailer and had them apply XPEL stealth samples to a couple exotics, and in my opinion the XPEL stealth matte doesn't come close to the factory frozen paint... Not even close. That said, you get two for one: Matte paint and PPF, so there are benefits to the XPEL approach.
Yes, the factory frozen paint is really amazing. But if wanna PPF entire car to protect the car paint, which should be chosen- The transparent PPF or matte PPF? Xpel stealth matte will change the look of original factory frozen paint, but if put on normal transparent PPF will kill the frozen? Appreciate for the suggestion.
