That might be a little too much red, no? People usually love some contrast. Would be interested to see it though, I'd personally never do it.

I'm personally a huge red/red fan, especially on an M3. Fav was imola/imola on the E46's.

I'm sure someone will order it soon, it's on my top 3 combo list.

I had an Imola / Imola Z4M Coupe! Probably won't do it on a G80 though

I'm not sure if this is a FO, or TR, or something in between, but I'm liking this color a lot in this video!

Test Drive in Kaiserslautern Today

Test drove this Toronto Red M4 in Kaiserslautern today. Absolute beast. It was a quick drive but was able to get on it a little on the Autobahn. Up to 200+ kph very quickly. Felt very stable and planted.

For the photos, all I did was add some contrast and played with the highlights and shadows a bit. Didn't even touch the color panel. Shot with a polarized 24mm for reference. Hope this helps those of you on the fence with this color. Definitely more orange in it than I thought, yet quite stunning and gorgeous in the sunlight.

Cheers,
T

Not sure why but to me at least the grille seems to look best with TR.

I think it's one of the better loud colors since it pairs up nicely with the taillights and red calipers. Then suit it up with black wheels and black interior. Sexy af.

Completely agree. TR really suits the G8x well.

Saw one in person the other day and it really did look good. It's a nice red.

I’m building out my TR G80 and can’t decide on the caliper color. First choice would be black 826M wheels, but can’t decide on red or black calipers. I’m thinking red would be too much red with the body color, but black would get lost behind the black wheels. Any thoughts?

Black. That preference comes more from the fact that the rear calipers are so small. I'm getting black wheels and black calibers to hide them. Accentuating the small rear calipers with a bright color doesn't sound good to me.

This is one of those highly personal choices, so go with whichever sounds good to you.

Has anyone ordered Toronto Red with Tartufo yet? I'm interested in seeing pics of that combo.

Unfortunately didn't get to drive the M3 at the event. I'm going to the 2nd UDE event in Chicago here in a couple weeks.... but not super confident they'll have it available for driving then either. Such a tease.

That being said, I have driven the G80 during a test drive and it more or less solidified that it'll be my next car. Just wish I could drive it in a setting where I could let loose a bit more.

This was my original post with some impressions of the m440i since that was featured in the autocross:

Just saw TR G80 for the first time. Absolutely beautiful color that looks nothing like the photos (with more orange than red) and unbelievable road presence.
