Waiting for my CAI's to arrive. I decided to go CAI vs in bay due to the temps at my location. Being into the 90's+ 9 months of the year any lower temps are appreciated. I fully understand the in bay vs exterior temps etc but overall colder air cant ever hurt. I dont for see a major vacuum difference or compressor wheel inlet psi/cfm changes from the in bay to exterior and where I live has very very little rain. So again, why not?

Cant wait for them to land!

Do you have bad cold start up drone with PSI mid pipe? I do and it’s annoying. Love the sound after though

I don't think that's a drone, sounds to me like a wastegate sound from a cold start. I hear it with all non-catted midpipes.

I know this was asked before in the thread, but I didn't see an answer and have the same concern. My short intake is very loose in that I can rotate it around the turbo intake freely. The clips keep it 'locked on' but should there be this much play? I worry it will rattle around and move a lot during heavy acceleration. It also makes me feel like I installed it wrong, but I took it off to make sure the O ring is in still.

not sure why it's loose, but that's not how it's supposed to be.

check the installation see if you did something wrong, if not the connections need to be changed to tighter ones

Appreciate that, but what connections? It is the solid pipe with the re-used retaining clip. The clip locks in okay and the pipe won't pull off towards front bumper but nothing keeps it from spinning around the turbo inlet pipe. Even the factory pipe spins freely, but is kept from doing so because the airbox is screwed down. There seems to be nothing in the BMS design to prevent this pipe from spinning.

Can any other BMS intake owners demonstrate the stiffness of their passenger pipe? I'm worried this pipe will be banging around and rattling like crazy.

I just finished my install and went for a drive and realized that I didn’t plug the front sensor back in all the way so it it threw a check engine light. I plugged it back in fully and I still have a check engine light. Any ideas if this check engine will go away once I drive the car a little bit and it realizes everything is ok ? Or does anyone know any other reason for a CEL ?? I have no other mods on my M4 but this.

Give it a day or two and it should turn itself off.
