The other thing is trim...I had CF on my last M3 and not a super fan plus it doesn't seem to really go with anything unless you get all the CF options...has anybody seen the standard aluminum trim in person? I'm thinking it might lighten up the interior a bit too...

Black on red will never go out of style.

The aluminum is too bright and kinda cheap looking to me. I had to have carbon.

The carbon fiber paddles and steering wheel trim is why we all go for it. Look up pics of other trims and the steering wheel and paddles. I was gonna go for the piano black myself.

I did and saw the CF on wheel...just seems out of place to me tho esp since I wont be spec'ing it anywhere else...my wife has piano black in her X3...a nightmare for scratches and dust...

The paddles on their own are $700+. Makes it worth it for those alone.

I don't know why I'm even playing the 'build my M3' game as highest I'm on list for MSRP allocation is #5. Which means many months wait and that much closer to LCI.

I went with the aluminum trim. I don’t love it or hate it. I’ve always done cf trim on my previous M’s and would probably do it again, especially after seeing the cf pieces on the seats

While I wait for my "1st in line" allocation I've been watching this thread since BSM is my first choice. Not because I don't like the front end but because I plan on modifying the car while keeping it sleek, classy and mean!

Unfortunately in NYC, the (non M) BMW is the vehicle of choice for "ricers" i.e obnoxious exhaust, M color stickers, cheap wraps, eBay wing mirrors and spoilers. Their presence is so bad that it almost deterred me from getting a BMW.

My point is… are there any modified BSM G80s on the forums you guys follow?
Can we be as active in the community as the other exciting colors or are we the mature old men of the G8x group? (I'm in my late 20's btw).

Thanks in advance and looking forward to contributing to this forum when I place my G80 6mt order.

Got mine on 11/19, came from an M340ix. The tech that allows the automated distance cruise control, and assisted driving is legit. The Tartufo seats are beautiful.
Almost switched to IOMG, but I am happy I stuck with BSM.

I'm also waiting on mine. BSM is the way to go.
Did Kyalami Orange/Black Full Merino Leather interior with CF trim and the black exterior carbon package.

Now it just has to clear the stop sale at the Baltimore VPC and make its way to MN....

Almost home! Gotta say, during the M Track Days event the CCB’s were maybe the most impressive part of the day, especially in the M5. Those things can take a beating. Awesome spec you have there
