Post Break-In Experience

My G80 (US Spec) just had it's break-in service completed (1.5 hours). As soon as I got in and started driving I noticed a significant power increase. The gas pedal was a little more sensitive. The mechanic told me that he removed the restriction within the computer that is enabled during the break-in time period. Now that the car had the break-in service, I let it rip.

I have to drive on the Autobahn on my way home so I was able to push the car. I got it up to 250kmh/155mph (max speed/no M Driver's package) and the car felt VERY smooth and steady. I don't often drive this fast but I at least try to take it to the max when I first get a new car. I might as well take advantage of the situation while here in Germany.

(Rhetorical Question) Besides, other than speedways, raceways, and tracks in the US, where else can I do this?

You want to go 155 not on a track, oval, or autobahn??

I heard that you can do it on any highway that doesn't have pot holes but then you gotta sit in jail for a couple nights

It was rhetorical, Wamion117

Glad you are getting to enjoy the car while you're over there, Twixx007 Will you be trying out the Nurburgring as well?

You should take a drive up there and just hang out in the car park if you want to get a feel for the place. Unbelievable buzz in the car park with amazing cars and friendly people.

Get one of the locals to jump in and show you the lines if you are a little nervous. First lap or two on there can be a little daunting on a busy day
