Congrats did mine today. I think I actually saw your car in the lot with the rest of the cars waiting to be delivered.
Here’s mine

Congrats! I took delivery from PCD yesterday - 10/10 experience. The 7 hour drive home was a breeze too.

Anyone here got their 2023 to 2024 swapped and dealer won’t honor the pricing?

I'm gonna work on that when I pickup. Trying showing your dealer this.

Mines on the ship, so thought I hit up sales to tidy up some things. They straight up denied it BMW fault for the delays as I decided to wait for the bucket seats. I did show them them that letter, they said nothing they can do. Guess dealers are having a ball raking in money these days.

It depends on when your car went into status 150 and when it was built.

You need to have been confirmed production with a production number before July (week 26 includes first week in July). Order bank orders (meaning you didn't get an allocation yet by the time the increase happened) specifically do not qualify for price protection. If your order got bumped to a '24, I suspect you did not have an allocation until July or August, especially if you're just getting on a boat around this time. If you were getting bumped due to buckets, you weren't status 150, so that also checks out.

I can tell you the dealer is not pocketing that increase, it's an MSRP bump.

Yup, this just means that the dealer pays BMW more for the car as well.

It was a bit of an odd scenario, maybe if you saw my schedule it would make more sense.

Initial order : 12/20/22
Price increase : 1/1/23 (before getting production number/allocation)

3/30/23 : production number received

4/13/23 : scheduled for production

From here basically BMW tracker goes to scheduled for production back to order received several times.

9/15/23 car actually starts to get the assembly started.

During all this time, no modifications to the order on my part. First time with a long delay like this, I just assumed after reading that document from BMW I thought I would be covered. Just caught me off guard, and wondering if this been the case for others or the dealer trying to pull strings here. 2 price jumps, no longer valid cash incentives, and apr jumps, with no communication from the CA. I just walked into all of that, so just fact checking here as I don’t want to just bend over without knowing the actual practices.

Although I mentioned the other increases, it’s fine I get that policy, just taking about the July increase.

I am on the same boat as you so hopefully my dealer honors the price protection when I take deliver in about a week or so. I will keep you updated on what happens on my end. What interest rate did you end up getting?

They haven’t gave me an exact figure yet but, they are hinting around 8% right now.

I did at 5%!

They ran credits, took my deposit in December, and I walk into all these news caught me off guard. So just checking with others to see their experience was.

But my general understanding you can’t lock APR, well at least not for long as we had to wait for.

I was told that we can lock rates. If rates are better time of delivery I would be getting that rate which is 5.29%. But we will see what happens

Good luck! Let me know how it works out!

Really do hope that is the case. That would save me a few bucks for sure.
