Got one!

I was out on a drive and decided to stop by my local BMW dealership to check out a M3CX that my SA thought I'd be interested in. I have a M4CX on order through this dealership but originally wanted a M3CX. I couldn't find a M3CX allocation and so I settled on the M4. Both are gorgeous cars but I like the M3 just a little more; my intention is not start a M3 vs. M4 debate so let's not.
Everything about this M3 was exactly to my spec. except for the wheels. The wheels are bicolor (gun metal? & black). In the pictures that my SA sent me, the wheels were not what I wanted and so, I initially opted out. Fast forward a week (today)...when I saw it in person, I fell in love with the M3 and especially the wheels. I have 3 cars with black wheels and I can use a little change in the scenery. Anyway, I ended purchasing it today. Let the modding begin! Couple of questions for y'all bimmer veterans:
1) I hate wheel gaps but I also don't like the slammed look. On the M3, the rears look okay to me but the front gap is a bit too much. Anyone just lower the front? If so, what springs do you recommend?
2) The H&K systems sound pretty good after messing with the equalizer settings but I'd like bid more tight bass. Too bad Burmester or B&O aren't an option. Any recommendations for replacement subs? I've read about Bavsound with some good and some bad reviews. Thoughts?

Looks great! Do you think the ID8 curved screen is a must have?

Take a look at BavSound - seems pretty painless for a sub upgrade.

Thanks. I'm not a tech nut and happy with round dials & simplicity. I do like some tech but I'm not a fan of the ID8, yet. I'm sure I'll get warm up to it sooner than later. I personally prefer buttons for climate control. So, IMHO, the curved screen is not a must. I'm afraid that this is the future and I will learn to adapt. Change or die, right?!

One more question...I'm not going to PPF the M3, as much as I love her but contemplating ceramic coating the interior and exterior. The dealership offered to do it for $750 (ECP Plus Diamond Ceramic). I DIYed ceramic coating on a car in the past and I just don't have the patience for it anymore. I don't like tedious DIY projects, lol. Is it worth $750?

It’s a fair price for both interior / exterior, if that’s what you’re asking.

I’ve heard dealers attempt to get $3k for ceramic. Which is absolutely nuts.

It won’t do a whole lot other than maybe prevent a light scratch. It’s not like ppf which has some fairly decent scratch / rock chip protection. It will keep the shine though, which is nice.

Agree with you here, $750 seems like a good price for both. My dealer offered me a ceramic coat of the exterior and interior for $1500 and I jumped on it IMMEDIATELY. Not because that’s a good deal for the ceramic coat, but it came with an 8 year warranty on the exterior (wheels included) AND the interior for any damage to the baby lamb skin. I couldn’t pass that up and I’m sure they will be happy to reapply the exterior coat every spring when it needs to be done 😆
