Front bumper ground scratches, worth fixing?

Hi,

In the parking lot my girlfriend scratched the front bumper with the parking block, she quickly realized the issue and backed out but the damage was still there.

Since this is the area normally no one will notice, should I still fix it or just leave it there? I have told her to always back in since then…

The easy answer is, front parking camera. The yellow lines show you how far you can pull up. Once the line touches the object in front of you, you have about 8-10 inches before the bumper hits the curb.

To activate it, there is a camera button on the shifter console, to the left side. Pull up to the object or curb, and press the camera button. Then if its a frequent spot you like to park, at the top right, there is an option on the screen, called "Activation Point" to GPS that point, and when you come up to that same parking spot, in the future, the camera will activate, automatically. If you didn't option the 360 cameras, well...

We actually have the camera but usually will wait for it popping up automatically on the display. In fact we always park in a garage regardless of home or work, no street parking so never had a chance to deal with blocks. I apparently know how to park but she does not

This block appears to be too low somehow, or something just did not work as expected...? Do I need to use bimmercode and update something?

It will be the first of many! You'll eventually encounter a steep curb when leaving like a Plaza or Mall eventually.

I think it depends on how long you've had it and the likelihood of it happening again. If you just got it, maybe wait. If you've had it for a while and it just happened and you don't see it happening anytime soon, then fix it.
