Hi guys,

Has anyone ever swapped out the emblems on an M4 for the 50 year anniversary edition. Where did you get yours from or what’s a good place to get it from?

How did you do the swap especially at the back since the rear view camera is mounted on the emblem itself?

For the trunk, you need to take the trunk liner off and you’ll see screws that hold the emblem and camera module in place. Take those off and then it’s kinda self-explanatory after that.

Thanks. Where can I get the 50 emblem replacements that have the camera spot at the back?

Dealer has them in stock and they did it right there for me.

You can go to https://www.shopbmwusa.com/PRODUCT/1...E-BADGE-(82-MM) and buy them that way. Make sure you pick your specific car from the model list and make sure you look for the correct one that has the camera lens cutout.

Will they replace it for a 2024? I don’t see it being available on the link you sent

2024 is the same as 2021 G82. Match up the correct size with the car model listed. It’s all on that site. They’re not that hard to swap out. You’ll need front and back ones in the correct sizes.

When I search this is only comes up for the i4, is it the same trunk hole size?

This. I was there for free routine maintenance and they did it while I waited. They didn’t charge me anything for labor.

OP, if you’re worried about ordering the right parts or about doing the install yourself, like the other poster above me said, wait for a maintenance visit to happen and just buy them at the same time and have them install. If you’re worried about getting gouged by your dealer on price, have the online BMW pricing pulled up on your phone to get them to match. Also, sometimes dealers will send out mailers for 10% off on service and parts. If you get one, bring it in and use it towards the badges. Even if you didn’t get one of those mailers, generally you can usually get a 10% off on labor or parts if you ask on the spot. If they had the same price as online and didn’t have to come down to match it, then ask about the 10% possible discount. If they’re a dealer that inflates their prices and they came down for you to the online BMW price, then don’t ask because you probably won’t get it.

Also, if you look up that part on any online BMW dealer parts portals, they usually sell for around $58. Maybe try to get them to match that… see what you can negotiate. Good luck.
