Now just get rid of the X2, X6, and XM.

X4 such an odd shape and design laguage.
When you see in in person, you realize how bad it really is. Good to see it gone. |

For whatever reason they could never get the styling right on the X4 so a worse looking version of the X3 that has less utility and costs more money, never really made a lot of sense from a consumer perspective.

Lol. Hey man, my wife loves the X4 and is seriously considering doing the same thing before it goes away.

I always assume that a global behemoth like BMW would be ultra focused on data to suggest that a model in fact will be economically viable. That doesn't ensure 100% success, but the X4 makes 0 sense and neither does the X6.
Nor does 90% of their current lineup. |

I'll withhold my opinions on the X4, but watching a G80 M3 owner call an X4 ugly was quite a treat, given the average consumer's opinion of the aesthetics of both.

Regardless how you feel about either, we don't see BMW cancelling the M3 do we? Anyway, ugliness is in the eye the beholder...I've never said the M3 was the most beautiful car, but I think the X4 is an ugly abomination (personal opinion of course).

I also like the X4 and X6, they don't blend in with the masses of other SUVs on the road and have a more modern design. Not everyone needs the maximum amount of cargo volume of the traditional bus-shaped SUV, but like a sporty vehichle that sits up higher than cars. But I don't think the X4 or X6 were ever intended to sale in huge numbers, they're definintely niche vehicles even though they've been copied by almost every manufacturer.

I'm clearly in the minority in my thinking, but pretty soon all we are going to have are boxy SUV's offered in white, black and gray shades.
