Does anyone know the #1 dealer in the USA?

#1 in terms of volume. I want to know who is getting the most allocation.

I put in my order in mid-march at my local dealer, and they told me I should have it by June/July. Now they are saying that it will probably be Sept. I am a cash buyer, and know exactly what I want, and I am not going to haggle with them over a couple thousand discount. If I can get my car anywhere in the country sooner than my local dealer then why not?

Auto Brokers are best for those that just don't want to walk on to a dealership lot. Their is a premium for their services. But they do know where to look.

High volume low volume your luck is about the same when it comes to allocation. A high volume store has a larger base of buyers in their market. For example Fletcher Jones is the highest volume Mercedes-Benz dealership but I believe they are in the ultra wealthy Orange County CA area were even the nanny is given a Mercedes-Benz to drive.

There can often be system wide shortages. Parts delays etc...

Call around and how exciting.

Cash isn't what it use to be, a lot of dealerships won't sell to a guy with cash in hand, they want the financing deal.

I have never had a dealer turn down an all cash offer. 😉

Turn down, no - but you can typically negotiate a better price with their financing and then pay off the loan in full the next month. Seems like a lot of effort to get that last bit off the price, but I know a couple people who took this route.

I knew a guy that used to walk into car dealers on Long Island and announce to the salesman, “I am paying cash and I going to buy a car today so just give me your best price.”

The salesman would always go to their sales manager and quote a price. Once quoted he would start to walk out. The salesman always chased him to the door and said I thought you said you’re buying your car today and he would reply, Yes I am, but I never said from who. 😂
