I sincerely see a correlation to temperature. Here in Dallas we've gone from 80 t0 30 multiple times over the last few months. I will say, it is still present in warmer temps. Just not as sensitive. For context, I am 99% the only occupant in the car, so this is not a full load scenario.

I am also emailing AST direct since yesterday. Seems as though they are in communication with the factory and are trying to isolate the batch per the last email.

I could see that being the case.. it reminds me of my old 05 gto where the PO installed aftermarket sways and when the temps dropped, the bushings would creak.. never got it resolved; drove me nuts lol

What's interesting is that Kies' car has AST springs now and he doesn't have any noise (yet at least). Him and I are in the same state, less than 20 miles from each other.

I had an Sound similar on a 2004 terminator cobra when I was in high school... It was more fitting on a Mustang lol.

**edit -- sorry, didnt realize my 1st attempt read as though I was having a stroke.

I too have been chasing issues with what I refer to as "creaking" at low speed, mainly turning on my AST's.

I've taken it back to the installer, double checked all is good, still did it, I took a look at it again myself. It's seated correctly. It also only happens when the spring is loaded. If you lift the car and wheel and turn, nothing. You have to have weight on the spring.

My gut is telling me there is something with the spring and it rubbing on the upper rubber mount. I'm in CO, and it's definitely louder when it's more cold out and the cars sat. Lastly mine happens on both sides.

It's pretty annoying, and if this keeps up, I'll be replacing them, swapping with another vendor. It's tough to accept on a $100k car, so i'll have to move on. I'm more upset i'll have to pay for another install job.

I unfortunately have the same creaking issue. It's only noticeable on the front passenger side mostly when driving over speed bumps. I live in Portland OR and the noise started while it was still relatively warm outside so I don't believe it's weather related.

I brought my car back to the shop that did the install. Everything checked out. They added some type of lubricant which solved the problem temporarily but with the amount of rain we get here I assume it washed out because the noise is back. Definitely a bummer. Even if AST were to replace the springs, the cost is in the install ($1000 for me). Nonetheless , AST needs to get this sorted out. It's clearly not an install problem if this many people are having the same issue.

Please share the contact information, I would gladly offer information, data and put them in contact with my installer (a tuner shop).

Look for the reply from Sean earlier in the thread. He stated the email to contact: sales@astsuspension-na.com

Thanks! I hope so, too... the only thing taking away from an otherwise incredible experience.

I keep thinking I hear something now when I back out of my driveway, but I can't say for sure. It's definitely not like what is heard in the video, but time will tell. Hopefully this can be resolved fairly easily. It is a bummer though because of the additional labor + alignment costs potentially.

I am having this same noise and only on the passenger front. Honestly figured I destroyed the strut since I constantly hit the bump stops. I am going back to stock on Wednesday so I'll keep everyone posted if the noise goes away.

Possible the shop used an impact gun on the top nut and damaged the shock? A clicking noise would be a suspect strut Mount.

I doubt it. The shop I go to is phenomenal and are factory trained Bmw techs. But we will see if the noise disappears when I put the stock springs on.

I have the same issue. Passenger front. Had zero issues when the weather was warm/hot but when it got to the 30s here in Austin I started to hear the noises. I could be wrong but I do believe it may be weather related.

This isn't a clicking noise like I had on my F80 Eibach springs where the shop I used possibly damaged the bearing. This is a very distinct creaking noise going over certain bumps.

Just went for a ride, this time with the mute on. Its such a habit to turn it on when its quiet... anyway, yep. I get that annoying noise too from the front right! I just did my 500 miles and got an alignment too. I hope they come correct, I'll be emailing and joining the list.

I went with AST because the price and the stance were perfect. I don't need adjustments or anything, but shoot, in the end it may cost more.

FWIW - its 39 and sunny here in Central Oregon.

Damn, sorry to hear this! Hopefully a root cause is found soon...

Has anyone received a response after emailing? I sent one in two days ago but haven't heard anything. Not sure if I made it on "the list" or not.

Can you resend the email or PM me what email address you wrote from?

We have a short list of people impacted and I respond to all of those emails accordingly.

Factory is testing a few factors that may contribute to the noise, once I have an update I will advise.

Resending. Forums say you can't receive PMs, so hopefully this one will come through. Sending to: sales@astsuspension-na.com

I also sent to the email - sales@astsuspension-na.com 1/23/22 around 2:41pm MT.

Let me know what I/we can do to try and help diagnose this with you.
