Does PPF make sense for me?
Bought a brand new M4 Comp Brooklyn gray and im love with the car. Just cant decide if i should PPF it or not. I currently park the car outside my townhome in a assigned lot. It also snows sometimes here in the winter(DC area). I do plan on buying a home soon so i also thought about waiting it out until i had a proper garage for the car.
What do you all think? This is my first M car and not sure if ill keep it for more than 5 years(not leased). I got quoted for 2.3k -3k for the front area. |

i definetely recommend it. I will be having my G80 shipped from the dealer (bought out of state) straight to my PPF guy to have the front of the car done (bumper, hood, fenders, lights, mirrors) the whole car will be ceramic coated.

2-3k for just the front seems excessive. I'd look elsewhere in your area.

I am not a fan of PPF for various reasons, although I will admit that it has saved the paint in several instances when I had it on cars that I either bought used or the dealer did it before I had a chance to say no. I don't think the cost is worth it. But I'm cheap.
That said: if you want to do it, then do it now, ASAP, while the paint is rather new and unblemished. Otherwise you'll just be protecting the existing dings, rock chips and scratches. And you'll likely pay more in the future, as they'll need to do more prep to make the paint presentable under the wrap.
