Does the e9x still feel as sluggish as it did 10 years ago? The disappointment of the e90/e92 is the reason I bought my first AMG. A W219 CLS63 that had nothing but problems.
It's super sluggish worse then 10 years ago it's like a slug crawling to 8400 rpms

For the most part everyone left here seems to have accepted and or even likes it, especially after they finally see it in person.

Nah the e9x forum is a trash forum, no one up keeps it.. trust me don't go over there you'll see a bunch of weird looking m3's with proportional front grilles

And surprisingly they still use the username and password for AIM.

Ahh maturity at its finest. No better way to show up what the E92 crowd is made of.

Loved my E92 M3. Best driving experience in an a M car period but while the older E46 M3s were being purchased by true ///M enthusiasts, the used E9X M3s were left for ricer boys with Fast & Furious dreams.

Based on the previous comments, I can see that hasn't changed.

I have loved every m3 except the E90. That 2 door looked good to me, but that 4 door was about as impressive as this guy's command of the English language.

Revving to 8700rpm was a dream but the lack of torque was there. The V8 sound and jerking from the DCT kept me sufficiently entertain.

Never owned one, was in Audi's before the F80. But I drove one recently and the steering felt great.

Just about every used M car is purchased by Fast and Furious types except the E30 M3. I have seen so many beat-up E36/4 M3 as well as E9X. Don't think the F or the G will escape that either, especially since these cars drop value fast then come back up.

When you see their prices level out and start to increase that is when the enthusiasts are purchasing them. Hell 2-3 years ago I could get an E39 M3 for 20k in decent condition. Now a 20k version is lucky to have all the doors on it. The cycle of life.

I'm in Brooklyn....you have no idea what these poor used F80's (many of them on their 3rd owner) are being subjected to by the NYC car scene. I love the enthusiasm but this is why we can't have nice things.

I never understand how people in NYC and other large cities get these super expensive cars and then park them on the street where people park by feel.

Well, that's how you know when you're close enough to the car behind you as you are parallel parking right? - when you bump into it. Back into the space, run in to the car behind you and then pull forward a bit. Done.

I frequently found myself closing my eyes having a mental orgasm as that V8 quickly approached redline. Bottom end it was sluggish, specially 6MT, the S65 begs for DCT. But truly a dream to drive.

The uninspired afterthought of a 4 door as frankiebones said was the main reason I went AMG. But the fact that the car only really opened up on a track was another reason.

Sounds dangerous to close your eyes as your car approaches redline unless you are in the passenger seat.
