F80 is a timeless design. That M3 CS above looks insane!
To the OP, I would probably cash out on the F80 but TBH you might have a hard time getting a crazy premium on the low mileage car. I was actually in the market for an F80 and the prices were so crazy I decided to get a G80 as it was better value in the long run, brand new, warranty etc I would not pay over the odds for an F80 right now. Used car prices will normalise eventually and all of a sudden there will be a glut of used cars. I would take the money and get a G80 if you can get a really good offer |

OP. Your car is nice and low-mileage. As a guy who had 3 F80/82 cars, I love that chassis. Personally, I'd keep the F80 because it's so low-mileage. Don't get me wrong, I love my G82, but I wouldn't have traded a low-mileage F80 for it. I only got my G82 because I drive 20-30k miles a year and it was time for a new ride.

Sell the F80, I got rid of mine and never looked back after driving the G80. I find now having the G80 and looking at the F80 the styling looks old. I had my F80 since 2015. They made the G80 more refined and it’s hella fun!

The drive and tech and overall quality are much better on the new car. I've had 8 S55 cars; the only ones I miss somewhat are my M2 Comps (and that's only because I'm waiting for my 2nd G82 order and I'm feeling the itch to get something immediately while I wait). Haven't looked back at any of my old F80/82s, not even the beautiful SMB M3 CS.

Thanks for all the feedback guys. I was definitely impressed with the G80 overall, but think I might wait and see how things transpire over the next couple years. I am always looking, but the Miami F80 is a tough spec to beat.

I would normally second this, but at almost $100k optioned out on the Competition, I worry that the CS or CSL is going to be starting at $120k. At that price point many other cars enter the conversation.

Don't think about it, just get it! The car is frikken fantastic. You will love it and the front end will grow on you very fast. I can't stress enough how much I giggle everytime I am behind someone on the highway and they move over. I don't speed on highways since this thing is an absolute cop magnet.
The car is quiet when you need it to be and makes enough noise to make you feel like you're in a video game. It's not too obnoxious looking and can blend in to its surroundings if you get an neutral color. |

Life is too short to wait around. We're at the cliff of the ICE demise man. We're standing at the cliff. It's almost over. This is it. And yes the grille has grown on me. That's why i changed my mind on mounting the front plate over the grill and just mounted it at the tow hook area. |

Keep the unicorn don't be a prisoner of the moment and waste money on a car where aesthetically it had to grow on you.

Prices on cars like yours are insane right now...sell it while you still can for a GOOD price. Order an individual G80 & enjoy.

The real question for you is why you went and looked at the newer car. I know that when I do that and like the car it is only a matter of time until I break down and buy one. Personally I would just order a PTS car so it has the uniqueness that you enjoy about the older car. |

No doubt I would only order or buy a G80 with individual paint. Maybe some day, but for now I will enjoy the F80 for a while longer. In a perfect world, it would be amazing to have 1 from each generation.

Is the F80 something you will keep forever? If the answer is yes, then keep the F80 and enjoy it.
If it is something you are thinking about upgrading in the future, then honestly this is the best possible time to sell a car. You are never going to get as much money as now for a used car. If you're considering the G80, I'd say take advantage of the market and get top dollar for that F80. |

Totally agreed about the F80/F82 look boring and outdated, to me anyway. I love my G82.

It doesn't help that the F8x never got an interior update in it's entire run. I believe the G8x LCI's will get the new interior upgrades of the LCI 3 series.

I like everything except the center console which has everything on that flat plastic square in the middle. I probably just have to get used to it, but I found it difficult to find the right button without looking down. In the F80, you could do it all by touch.

I am making the switch from my F80 to the G80 which is hopefully getting delivered next week to my dealership. I can't wait and haven't thought twice about it. I got the G80 for MSRP and sold my F80 for $2.5K less than I bought it for 3.5 years ago. So it literally cost me $800ish a year to drive my F80 which I am looking at as a huge win.
