Thanks! Unfortunately, I lack self control.
Thanks bud! Quote:
One of the best race shops in the area (where I go for alignments), is Racewerks in Virginia Beach. |

Very tasteful mods thus far! You really nailed the specs on the Volks. I would have tried to squeeze a 305 if possible but that's a great fit. Nicely done

Thank you! One of my all-time favorite wheels. Many years ago during my junior military days (POOR), my dream was having an M car on TEs. Took a little longer than expected though |

Figured I owed this thread where this G80 has been and what parts have been cycled.
Delivery day. 24 August 2021. The first round of modifications... MPE & KW HAS MPE. An absolute work of art. The entire package from BMW is flawless. Directions printed from online and very straight forward install. While this unit is not a whole lot louder than the factory can, the titanium structure creates a pretty cool and unique growl. I went for this exhaust primarily for it's design, and after nearly a year of owning it, I was ready for something new - and honestly sorta missed the look of the factory quad design (traditional M). Big item of note on this exhaust, it is completely reversible. If you're on the fence with this exhaust, I think it's something quite epic to experience. KW HAS. The first run with the short springs. Before the updated taller spring were released for the G80, KW spring spacers (15 or 30mm) were the fix to keep the rear from sagging. Great, high quality coilover. While the ride comfort didn't go out the window, there was a noticeable difference in harshness. Not bad, just different. Updated rear springs have since been installed. Rear is higher with no use of spring spacers. R44 CS rear spoiler One of the cleanest spoilers for the G80, IMO. A perfect fit, and a flawless weave. 963M wheels (spacers: 18F/15R), Autotecknic front lip 963M. Drop dead gorgeous wheel. A finish that makes you salivate, mostly in person, and a spoke design that's just wild. Best part; these ship from BMW with tires mounted and balanced, TPMS sensors already installed. Mount on car, reset TPMS, drive, and good to go. Main reason for ditching these wheels was due to the lack of concavity. These wheels are extremely flat-faced, and I found it sometimes difficult to get past this. Autotecknic. I have always been a big fan of this brand; always a quality weave, clear coat, and fit. Moved on from their aero to take the car in a different direction. TEs introduced Because TEs. That's all. CSL-yellow DRLs. As a mod by itself, really cool touch. I just never got over how they flowed with Frozen Brilliant White. Which is interesting, because word is one of the G80 CS colors will be FBW, so I'm curious to see how the yellow DRLs flow there. And where she sits now. More to follow... Last edited by FISH22; 01-06-2023 at 10:08 AM.. |

Some stuff on a few of the other parts that have remained on the car...
Stradale Design front grills The carbon quality doesn't get any better than this. IMO, on par with OE BMW carbon. These are probably the most unique grills when it comes to install. Double-sided tape it utilized on the perimeter of the grill. Nice part about this; you can fine-tune how deep they sit in the bumper to your liking, before you pull the backing of the tape and have them set. Weave is flawless, and the gloss is superb. Items of note: The "M3 Competition" fits perfectly, swapped over from the OE grill. I mounted mine deeper into the bumper, so there was some slight bumper foam trimming required to remove any pressure between the Stradale grills and foam. Sterckenn front splitter/lip Where to even start with this lip. PERFECTION. Probably my favorite piece on this car. It flows so well, and while it has some aggression, nothing about it is over the top. This is a 3-piece lip. Absolutely perfect fitment for all 3 pieces. A huge bonus: it's carbon hue is a nearly perfect match with the Stradale grills, xxii carbon ducts, and any OE carbon. This was one issue I had with the Autotecknic piece - it's hue had more of a gold'ish tint. |

Damn, I must have missed these were released for the G8x. Now I’ve got something else to add to my mod list this year.
Curious to hear how the install process goes. You have to drill the pedals to install these, right?
