Tip on the m seat lights

There's no way to do this, I looked long and hard becomes I'm tacky haha

The seat lights are linked to the welcome lights, problem being if you even found a way to code them on (some have) then the welcome interior lights will remain on

Unplugging the interior lights is an option, but not worth it to me

I had the anti-dazzle coded by http://www.codemybimmer.ca/

I knew I needed the KFAS programmed and couldn't do it with Bimmercode so I wrote to a bunch of sites after a google search. Steve wrote back in just a few hours while I never heard a word back from the other 4 sites I wrote to. He coded my car remotely from Hong Kong. Very professional and easy to work with.

I still need some more testing, but my initial thoughts are that it is good, but not quite as amazing as my 2017 pre-LCI M4. Tunneling from the rear seems decent, but with oncoming cars it seems to put both lights to low rather than leaving the right one bright and cutting down the left one. He said he'd heard that from other people that had the pre-LCI F8x.

Any increase in highbeam output/brightness? Looks like might be part of "Enable Variable Light Distribution" per https://www.codemybimmer.ca/g-chassis-coding/

"Turn off Horn on Secure Feature when Locking with Engine Running" would be nice as well.

You know, I asked him about that. He said he wasn't sure and hadn't tried it and was going to but ended up just doing the anti-dazzle.

Maybe someone soon will be brave enough to try.

I just want my laser highbeams to melt people's faces off like promised in the BMW marketing -

Seems like if it can work in Europe as does the anti-dazzle that it should also be able to be re-coded to work.

Was only BDC and KAFAS coded or also FLM2? It should behave better.

I'm not sure honestly. I assume he did all the correct stuff. It doesn't seem to function poorly, just so far not quite as amazing as my 2017. I still need a little more testing.

I VO coded BDC3, KAFAS4 (With the additional FDL coding for Exit/Enter Thresh, US Sensitivity Mode to Normal and ECE Variation etc) along with both FLM2s.

Ok. You want to additionally FDL code FLM2.

What about the amber corner LEDs in the headlights (laser lights, not base headlights if that matters) is that able to be coded off in BimmerCode or does that require esys?

Back when I had my 2015 F80, I was brave enough to learn esys and properly coded my anti-dazzle LED headlights... but it's been years since I've touched esys and don't feel like relearning it lol

I believe when you code it in bimmercode bimmercode actually selects the color you chose and recodes it to function as the given color (red) under a different color within the idrive settings (maybe green? just an example)

So if you code red and then go to green in your idrive settings, then the car will change its lights to red, make sense?

I read this somewhere but can't remember where

Anyone ventured far enough to see if theres any way to code the turn signal/DRL's how they are in europe? We have some new funky regulations in the US where DRL's have to be turned off if the turn signal is integrated in the same housing which just looks weird....

Here is how they look in Europe @ 2:50 :

It was possible on F80/F82 in FLM so likely as well as on G80/G82 in FLM2. Though, I have not looked into it on the latter.

My M2 dims the DRL for that side when the turn signal is on. Does the G80 actually turn it off? I've honestly not looked for it in any videos.

Yeah turns the whole thing off...

Here @ 24 seconds or so.

Now if you could make both "angel eyes" blink orange that would be pretty cool actually but I haven't seen how these new turn signals work exactly.
